  1. Agree. It is MOST frustrating, seeing that U without an E after it! I've been tempted to block this individual on the grounds of gramaticle infarctions.
  2. Yea, plus, it's possible the "buyer" thought he had just been slapped with a $26,400 invoice! In which case: disaster averted! What I find interesting from an anthropological point of view, is how we all (well, some of us) tried coming up with the most fascinating explanations to account for the astronomical price.
  3. I can second that motion. As per Barry S. at HA.
  4. Yes! And then you’d fit into a manssiere, aka “The Bro”!
  5. Hi there Jeff. Heard a lot of great things about you! Looks like you took a hiatus around the time I joined the boards. Here's one of my favorite Jumbo covers, not high grade, but strong reds and ow pages nonetheless. Best, Jay
  6. Should've read the rest of this thread. Guess I was the underbidder then. Would have pushed it a little higher. #%!*$@*^%$!
  7. I was sitting pretty with this book at the "estimated" range for all of 10 seconds, and then BOOM! within 3 seconds the price catapulted to $26,400. Totally unfathomable. I'd like to think there was an error in the decimal point. Insane.
  8. Droll, very droll. But yes, Dr. Jay's magic rejuvenation formula will make you feel like a young lad and take that extra "g" out of "Sqeggs"!
  9. "These Shadow covers are growing on me." You know there's medicine for that.
  10. Those are fantastic! I've got some Rangers OA too; will try and post one of these days soon.
  11. Yup. And they’re still hard to beat, after 80+ years, if you count their first team-up in Wags magazine ~1936!
  12. Interestingly, CGC states that Eisner did this cover. But other sources (including Heritage Auctions) consider Lou Fine to be the artist. Most likely they both had a hand in it.
  13. Double posting this Fiction House classic (originally posted in the Cigar thread). Featuring "robot decapitation". There's not many books you can say THAT about.
  14. Very pretty. Except for those devil apes. Careful with those guys.
  15. My first Target! Thanks again Nik! You're the man!
  16. This one doesn't pop up too often. My favorite Fight by a landslide. And a couple interior shots courtesy of Comic Book Plus:
  17. Is that book to the right of your Blue Beetle by our very own Gino on these here boards, @gino2paulus2? Coincidence?
  18. Fun video! Love the slow reveal. Congrats on landing two hard-to-find books.
  19. Hmmmmm. So basically, you don't actually know that Leo O'Mealia did the cover on your copy!
  20. I was watching this book. Gorgeous book. I love those little yellow fishes. Great pick-up! I decided to go with a Fight (coming to a thread here soon).
  21. You need sunglasses to look at that thing!
