  1. Either way, he owes for what he bid on and won. Well, the guy who bought and as yet has not paid is at fault. He knowingly won auctions with clear shipping prices. Any other requests are on and after. If no agreements are made, he still needs to pay for the auctions he won.
  2. Yes, he has cancelled. The show is working on a compromise. There will be a hand signed Wonder Woman print given out to the first 250 attendees on Friday, and his sketch opportunity is still available for 5 luckees. Still, the show should be amazing...so much creator talent coming, along with Billy Dee, Val Kilmer, John Barrowman, and others.
  3. For me I could see it if it were an iconic portrayal of the hero, as in Christopher Reeve. That may be a subjective opinion.
  4. As both a buyer and a seller, I read whatever messages are added and take them on a case by case basis. If I am responding as a seller, I sometimes include something like "I don't see me going under $xx.xx for this". Just so the offerer knows where I stand.
  5. The reprint has three staples, while the original had two Maybe its legit and should have a green label *staple added*!
  6. Just be cautiously optimistic. I've sent in the same type of "low, but not insulting" Best Offers and had the same surprise of being immediately accepted. It's rare, but it happens. Hopefully you get what you are expecting! Oy. Book arrived and unfortunately there is a coupon cut out. Working it out with the seller now.
  7. Put in an offer on a SA ASM that was listed for $125. It was a low offer but not one I would consider lowball. I expected a counter closer to the asking price, but he accepted my offer. Now I am wondering if I missed something in the pics. Or maybe I just got luckyish. The sell price was in the lower range of what these go for.
  8. Yup, that popped up on my phone and I was psyched when I saw the 15%, then the rest of it was bigger buzz kill than Buzz Killington.
  9. How does that explain Baltimore, Heroes, and several others that go with few, or no celebs? I have to disagree with your statement.
  10. Always a great show. The new Mohegan Sun event center, just a couple years old, is attached to the parking garage and the main casino building. Wide aisles, very reasonable admission, and almost any kind of food you want is a short walk away. If you don't want to stay at the casino hotel, there are choices just a couple miles away. Terrificon is worth your time. August 9, 10, 11.
  11. I have been looking for this book in this range for a nice deal. Stupid errands!
  12. And they are tall enough for dividers that rise above the books. Nice.
  13. ... Styrofoam is my kryptonite. Hate the feel, the cutting sound, everything about it. The lightweightness seems perfect as a divider, though.
  14. Was just doping around on the bay...found this listing for ASM 37......................I have no idea what this guy, 0 points, is thinking, except to get views maybe. Messaged him about having the wrong picture posted, but still waiting for a response. https://www.ebay.com/itm/AMAZING-SPIDER-MAN-37-Marvel-Comics-1966-CGC-9-0-Norman-Osborn-1st-Appearance/223550040857?hash=item340c9eeb19:g:WDoAAOSwFpdc9prh
  15. Can't the PL be for a limited time? As a first offense, or warning type of thing?
  16. Those above are from the HA site, I believe. The CGC grading scale is below...quite a bit different. Unless they fine tune it somewhere else. HERE is the link to the page
  17. I recently bought a slab that was sent, without my knowing, signature confirmation. On the day of delivery, which I thought I was near, I was home on the couch and watched the mail truck pull up, wait a few, and then drive off. I went to the box and found a "sorry we missed you" tag in there. WTC, he never even got out of the truck . I did get the box the next day, but I prefer to have as few hands as possible on deliveries. It would seem to lessen the misplacement of packages. I am not a fan of signature confirmation, but if it helps ensure the delivery, I understand its use.
  18. I liked the original V-mort label, hated the second (rivets), and like the current ones. The old CGC labels don't do anything for me, with the 2 part color boxes, as well as the lacking notes. The current labels are fine, if not eye catching. It is more about the book, anyway. I buy graded SA because I want assurances that the books I am spending higher amounts on have been checked for restoration/trimming. I do not have the eye that many here have.
  19. I have seen 3 messages that this seller sent and were posted here. All 3 were 95% the same - (paraphrasing) lost the book, sorry, my bad. He certainly isn't really trying that hard to explain. I am guessing future sales may be slim.
  20. Wow, I can only imagine what here was like 5+ years ago. Seems like I missed a cool place.
  21. I was wondering myself how this is going to play out. Including the age changes as an android. As B4?
  22. Purchased an ASM 16 graded 5.5. Nice price, nice book. Arrived timely and super securely packed. Bubble wrap, box in a box, with extra packing peanuts. Thanks.
