  1. I have 2. There is a specific notification on the site...the same bookmark I always use.
  2. I agree, but I am going through the paypal site. I am on hold right now for a next level supervisor.
  3. So, a buyer tried to pay for one of my ebay auctions and was denied due to my paypal acct being "suspended" until I confirm my identity. Now they (paypal) want a pic of my license and a pic of my ss card. I have used the chat feature and the phone support through the paypal site. They also say it will take up to 7 days to confirm ??!!? Does that seem right? I am a small fish and have no issues with ebay or paypal, and this makes me a bit uncomfortable.
  4. But, would he have to pay the shipping both ways? For something that was not his fault in any way?
  5. In the last couple years I have sold at least 100 books on ebay. I am not a dealer, but I have come into a couple people who were looking to sell a few boxes of books. I have never had one return. After hearing some of the stories, I feel lucky. I usually give a front and back scan, and center pic. I also assign a grade and describe the flaws.. If it is a multiple book lot, I will put something like "solid mid grade books" in the title. If a buyer is into high graders, I don't want to waste their time. I do agree on the pics are better than the estimated grade, though. I just think that if there are good pics, and an estimated grade, I can get a quick determination of the sellers honesty and/or grading ability.
  6. I have used auction sniper for years. I don't know how it compares to others, but it is .25 for each auction win.
  7. I just picked up a Batman 70 cgc in a current thread. I would like to say it is my first Golden Age book, but when I do a search, there seems to be a time span between Golden and Silver age and 1952 is in there. Is a Batman 70 from 1952 considered Golden?
  8. Yes, but that could be alleviated by hiring more qualified graders. As the business grows it has to keep up with the demand. I have many books that I would like to get graded, but not having them for almost 6 months (pressing and grading) bothers me.
  9. Also, I think Detective 480 - 508 covers the time frame. I checked - 480, 486, 487, 489, 490, 491, 493, 494, 497, 499, 500...no go. Ps. I have been known to miss things, but I am pretty darn sure on the books I listed.
  10. Semantically speaking, they ARE MOC (mint on card), they just aren't MOMC (mint on mint card). And by your analogy, they are worth about 90% less than a MOMC fig. Unless they can be got at more than half off the loose price, I would pass.
  11. Niiiiiice. I just got one, but not nearly as nice. Still glad to have it, though.
  12. Agree. A full week is plenty, if nothing else, to read the message. If need be, then the buyer could try to arrange a longer time for payment.
  13. Thanks for the estimates, that is where I was thinking, also. Probably send it to Joeypost for a clean and press.
  14. Yes, and this would say "prototype" for Ben and May, I believe. It is the same people, and the only thing that would make it better is if they were serving wheat cakes to the girl. And I guess she is like Chuck from Happy Days...here one minute, gone the next, and never spoken of again.
  15. 1st Uncle Ben and Aunt May. This book has been on my radar for a little while. I found this copy at a reasonable price. There are numerous creases front and back, both CB and NCB. A couple intersecting marks on the green title banner. A little spine break on top and a smaller on on the bottom. Cover and center firmly attached. When I saw the bottom staple, I thought maybe it had been replaced, but I think it is legit. I think a pressing would work wonders.
  16. Do you know where the CT was? Also, what is the deal with the "collection of Nicholas Cage"? Why does that even matter (to anyone but his friends, family or a deranged fan) ? Either way, nice outcome, really nice book.
  17. Yes, but you can explain in your feedback. I rarely use the star system anyway, if i was to have an issue I would squeeze it into the text box.
  18. Thinking of getting this book. Pay no attention to his estimated grade. I think it's a 3.0-3.5. I would just like some eyes to let me know if it looks shady (trimmed, etc). I have compared it to cgc'd slabs and it seems OK. https://www.ebay.com/itm/STRANGE-TALES-97-1962-Lee-Kirby-Ditko-1st-Aunt-May-Uncle-Ben-Characters/192742850628?hash=item2ce05e8044:g:6V0AAOSwVFJb9CC2
  19. They can't even give you a full 1% break? Greedy *&@%#*^$
  20. I thought $175 seemed way low for a 5.0. If a graded 5.0 was 175, I would already own one. It's low for raw, I would think.
  21. Regarding any Stan Lee sigs anywhere currently - gouging is rampant. Ebay-wise, do a sold search and choose ended recently, then go back through those listings and see the change in prices over the last couple /few weeks since his passing. You will get the idea.
  22. To spruce up a couple of Mike DeCarlo commissions I had done a few years ago, I painted a mat as close to Simpson yellow as I could and cut out some figures for gluing.
