  1. Just found out that I have that Saturday off. I will be coming from western MA.
  2. 80? And more than double the page count? That is a full short box of 1 issue of variant covers. I am surprised that they don't have a book of just the covers.
  3. Yes, but the staple corrosion stains on the back cover annoy me.
  4. The more pages, the more recaps I need. One every 4 or 5 or 6 pages works well, depending how many books are left on those past pages.
  5. Decided to pick it up...just went to the site and it's gone. Story of my life.
  6. I think this compares favorably to the ASM 50 that graded out at 7.5. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/433365-asm-50/
  7. That's the only thing I can think of, but MCS is generally a straight up, full disclosure seller, I believe. I think it's a 5.0 or better all day. I will probably pull the trigger
  8. I am thinking of buying this as I have been focusing on some 2nd appearances of Silver Age Spidey villains. 1st Apps can get somewhat pricey. I only have front and back images...thanks. MCS has it as a 4.0, I think it looks better. Ebay has a couple of graded 4.0 and those definitely look less than these.
  9. @Spidey 62That one was taken, sorry if I forgot to mark it! Yup, saw that on the next page. Dang it. Nice cover, nice price
  10. Ease of access is the only thing that comes to mind. I would think that flat is always better for keeping the waves away.
  11. Picked up a ASM 194 8.0 white for 164.00 incl shipping, after discount. I didn't have the book...I think it's a good deal.
  12. Sounds like a lot of work to respond to all the low, low ball offers. is an auto reject better then a reject? I'd respond to an offer of $250 on a $334 item. I tend to basically auto reject offers like the $100 on a $250 item. That's is what I thought. Maybe we could have met at $275 ish. Oh well, back to the searching. At worst, my wife wants me to get flea and tick stuff for the dog......yaaaaay
  13. As a buyer.. I prefer a counter to at least know someone is negotiable. I just put in an offer on a nice Tom Grummett commission of Robin. It is listed for $334 obo, I offer $250...he declines. Apparently my $250 is a lowball, and not worth responding to? Now I am looking for an ASM slab, but can't find anything that I consider right.
  14. Shelves and such are good for storing vertically. I have a sheet music stand that I have a portfolio on, opened for display. I have some Star Trek art displayed currently.
  15. OMG, that Captain America face... Sorry, couldn't help it. Decent grabs, though, if that is your thing.
  16. I don't disagree, but it is what they showed. I don't know exactly how the actual physics could work. Although I do have a book called "the physics of superheroes". It may try to explain it in there.
