Just keep selling with no issues and eventually it will increase exponentially. Or you can call and speak to someone about it, sometimes they will override the algorithm.

thanks., I know., I have been selling for 15 years. However, Hong Kong ebay is much more strict than US ebay in terms of monthly limits so no options of calling as they will go with the automatic increase and given I technically have received an increase I am not entitled for another one. Which is why I have 1000 slabs for sale through MCS as have no limits to sell them.

His store, Cool Stuff, was apparently robbed back in January (I only found out recently though) and customer books were stolen (which ones and how many I do not know). He told me he filed a police report and shared security footage with me - at which point I NOPED right out of the conversation as it is now grand larceny and I am not getting involved in this growing mess further.

I didn't post anything explicit about it since I was waiting for him to make an announcement or whatever, but that doesn't seem to be happening and so yeah, I guess might as well confirm it since a few other people also know at this point. :ohnoez:

I kind of predicted that was going to happen. This thread has shown both location of store and potential content

Okay...this next update is going to be a doozy. I have spoken directly with a few people who have confirmed some horrible news, these are very reliable contacts that are close to the situation and want their names to remain out of this for now (but continue to help and are also monitoring the boards).

It looks like there is a good chance Mike has been selling customer books.

Just over a month ago when his girlfriend kicked him out he opened up a store front in downtown Corvallis called Cool Stuff (name might be a little longer though, waiting on the full exact business name and address). He moved all his personal belongings into that shop and has been selling all sorts of things out of it (no online presence is known though). It is unknown however how far back the selling goes (or exactly which books), we know about the store front but it is possible books were gone before it got to this point. He has however failed to pay rent on it and it is at risk of being evicted - the landlord however cannot release the contents of it to others not on the lease (which makes sense, they don't know who really owns what). We are unsure of how to proceed as he isn't getting out of jail anytime soon. I will be speaking with the sheriffs next week and perhaps something will come of that. If this info had came from any other source other than where I got it from I would be very skeptical - but in this case I believe it is legit due to his desperation (maybe he opened up a shop to sell his own comics, it's possible, but considering how downhill this has gone and how hard up for money he was I'm going to lean towards it not being fully legit). To be clear: Signs point to this being the case, and the sources were VERY good, but until it is 100% confirmed please take this with a grain of salt.

He no longer has any cell phones, so there isn't any value in trying to reach him that way (so no sense bugging the new owner of the numbers). The only way to reach him is obviously through the sheriffs office where it is expected he will remain in jail until his trial in January. His previous lawyers have all quit on him due to non-payment, so I can't see any of them coming to his rescue at this point.

There is more, but this is the biggie. Will keep everyone updated with what else I find. At this point we need someone nearby to take actual legal action...I am a lone far off Canadian that can't do much else.

Well let's just hope that the place won't get burgled

Looking for some feedback on a situation I got here.

So I have this buyer seems really interested in a very high price slab I have on Ebay. Frequent messages about what my best offer is without making an offer despite replying that he could make one. They've only been on Ebay for bit over a year. Location is China but they claim their shipping address is in New Chastle Delaware which is known as a tax shelter. Looking at their feedback it looks great. Never sold anything but 100% as a buyer with wonderful glowing feedback from mostly comics and collectibles type sellers. Has 329 transactions with positive feedback. I'm inclined not to take seriously out of caution but what would you do?

Buyer is most likely using a freight forward service (which will combine packages etc before shipping it to China). If you are comfortable with the buyer - then should be ok. Note that your responsibility ends when package delivered in Delaware (google address and make sure to use signature service is more than $750). What buyer does afterwards is his respon

Weird.  Whenever I mention this service it gets removed and I get a couple days off.

you already trolled OP on the other site - do you have to do it here as well?

sorry @Oat Willy1 about the book when you had it for so long. can’t believe they would courier submissions from a convention. would have thought that by now they would have learnt their lesson losing books in shipment. but i guess not

MOST of it has been that way for years. The part about having a payment method preloaded, and entirely skipping checkout is new. EBay overstepping, for no good reason.

If I need to ship to a different address, too bad. Need to use a different cc? Out of luck.

WellThese functions have been available for decades because they are necessary to the system. Denied.

Well - don't worry. Ebay does not apply it to everyone. Had a buyer yesterday make a best offer, which I accepted. After 12 hours (without paying) he requested the order to be cancelled. Told me that when he tried to cancel, it was too late and that ebay asked him instead to contact the seller and request seller to cancel the order for him.

So in substance, not much has changed, buyers can still do as they please; ebay still put all the effort on sellers and sellers continue to get xxxxxx
