  1. In about a 7.5ish your looking at around 85-120. I would not slab it in that condition though because you might get less if it comes back a 7.0 or lower. Great book though, first appearance of an amazing character
  2. I Already contacted the seller, Said his assistant made a mistake but that he was still going to ship out the book. Whoever got it must be going nuts. http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Tomb-of-Dracula-First-Appearance-of-Blade-CGC-8-5-/112381084997?hash=item1a2a6f4545%3Ag%3ADTIAAOSwkShY~Goa&nma=true&si=5LjDl1cAGLA3vt5otD4S7cFl%2FO0%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  3. Love negatives, Helps me look for flaws on books
  4. As someone who was collecting long before the movie/netflix age. Ironically enough I started collecting in 2001 when the industry was almost dead. The days when keys where more affordable, especially in high grade. I don't think that those days will be back for a while, as much as I would love to have them back . Unless the movies start to bomb big at the box office and get horrible reviews, almost positive neither will happen across the board. These movies will keep coming. The hype will stay alive as long as the characters are in the spotlight. Investors will continue to reach deeper into their pockets and the hype train keeps going. As for IM 55, I think drax has something to do with the increase in price as well. Not huge but its their. The 9.8 wallet destroying sales will calm down as we all know that the hype typically goes nuts before the movies come out and rarely ever hits that unrealistic high ever again. Books like hulk 181, WWBN 32 and IR 55 have all had those sales. Unfortunately even before the hype started I did not have the money to buy mega keys, what bugs me the most is even mid to low grade keys are completely ridiculously over priced now. Books like WWBN 32 and Tomb of Dracula 10 in mid grade are going up almost every sale it seems. Hopefully this movie/netflix hype will calm down but its going to take a lot of crappy movies at this point to keeps the investors away from the hobby. That and the fate of the MCU after infinity wars.
  5. Those bends you see on the bottom are all glare unfortunately due to the slab being almost impossible to photograph in day light. Ironically enough the one bend that cannot be seen is the one going across the book. It's right where the smudge is and goes completely across. There seems to be no color break or damage to the fibers of the paper that could be pressed out. Other than that the book is flat and clean. After reading your post I took another look at the smudge and it's looking more like a smudge because there is no finger print pattern on it. It seems like something, not a human finger caused that smudge. Does that change the situation? Is it more or less effective on grade and can it be reduced?
  6. It was around 2 weeks but some took longer to receive then others so I just waited to post but yeah, my wallet is still healing from the assault.
  7. Usually from my understanding the value of a restored book is half the value of the book in the same grade unrestored. maybe a little more or less based on the demand for the book.
  8. Finger Print ink Smudge I have 2 questions. First, is it possible to remove or at the very least reduce the smudge of ink left by a fingerprint smudges on a non white background? Doing this of course without removing any yellow ink in this case. second, How much does a small ink/fingerprint smudge effect the grade of a book? Especially if it is on the back cover. Here is an example of Tomb of Dracula #10, the smudge is at the lower right corner near the writing and the other is in between the white and yellow boarder in the center of the back cover.
  9. At this point I am also leaning on it being sun fade. But is it also possible that the red ink started to run out? I know it's a stretch but it is possible.
  10. Any thoughts as to what it might grade out too?
  11. I want to but I do not want a green label nor am I interested if the book comes back in a 4.0
  12. Im assuming they go easier on the grade if the book is only faded in certain areas and certain colors right?
  13. Could you provide a link, I would love to see it.
  14. how much would something like this effect grade?
  15. Also since front and back cover are up what grade do you guys think it is? Im thinking 4.5-5.5? not sure how the fade/error or what ever it is would effect the grade.
  16. That reminds me, I should post a picture of what is should look like for those who have never seen the cover.
  17. the trash can colors seem to be consistent throughout yet the entire speech bubble is missing red ink almost entirely. The color of the yellow is also the same as the top.
  18. thats what I was thinking too. The way the colors are messed up does not seem to be faded. Usually I can easily tell when a color is just faded but this one is beyond me. I showed it to another experienced local dealer and he said it looks like some kind of printing error.
  19. Got this book a few weeks ago with what appears to be either sun fade or an absence of reds from the bottom cover. Not sure what is going because the other colors don't seem to be faded also had me wanted to ask the question. How do you tell the difference between sun fade and printing errors? Here is the book
  20. been recently getting into Tomb of Dracula and I love the art. Plus it introduced Blade, one of my favorite characters.
