    It seems to be the only sale in a while, at least on eBay. It's also 1 of 17 graded and the only 6.0 with 2 graded higher. In today's day and age the guide is there simply as a novelty for most books. That being said, I have to admit 13 times guide is shocking.

    Nice Unfortunately for me I did not have the kind of money to buy it even back then. Had a chance in 07 but it was restored. Looking back I should of just pulled the trigger as it was an amazing deal at the time.

    My one true grail. A book that I have wanted as a child and still do this day everytime I see that cover it puts a smile on my face.

    Spider-Man is one of those few characters that is timeless. From his look to his personality it just stands the test of time. I would love to think that AF 15 will have a substantial decrease in value at some point in the distant future. I would love to own this book. Unfortunately in reality it would take an economic catastrophie to really effect its value. At that point comics will be the least of anyone's concern.

    Love that 162 cover. I always found it odd that his antlers started to become wider after FF 48-50.

    I have been looking at other SS #1 books in 6.0 and they seem to look similar. I think its because it is a black cover and a square bound book. That is the reason why it was throwing me off. That and the fact that there is a large accumulation of defects instead of fewer, large notable ones.

    If you can smell the book from 2-5 feet away then the answer is yes. If the book smells of smoke then it effects grade even more if I am correct. If you have a smelly book I recommend putting some microchamer paper between the covers and center. Then seal the book in a mylar bag for a few days or week. Then let the book air out of the bag for a day or two. This has worked for me in the past. You can also place the book in a sealed container with some baking soda in a small dish and let it site for a week. This should at the very least reduce the smell enough that it's not over powering and noticable from a far.

    Whats sad is he lied to me by saying he would honor the sale. But on top of the that he also lied to the buy by not sending it out. Isn't there a place to blacklist eBay sellers on the boards? This guy earned his spot.

    I have always felt that the cover of a full first appearance has something to do with value. How much or how little of an effect on price though is a completely different conversation.
