  1. So this thread has sent me on a Vampirella original art buying bender. I blame you @Stevemmg. Here are my three new acquisitions: Joe Jusko cover to Vampirella: Death and Destruction #3 Ray Lago cover to Vampirella of Drakulon #3 Rudy D. Nebres splash page from Vampirella Strikes #7
  2. Lucky! If I hung up my art in my office, I would be taking a one way trip to HR. Man that Egyptian Queen looks nice on the wall!
  3. Oh I see you have thrown down the gauntlet. Your collection is definitely deeper than mine, but here are some of favorites from my own. Enric . Sanjulian Ray Lago Jim Lee Michael Turner (R.I.P.) Michael Bair Jerry Bingham ChrisCross Chris Conidis Mike Hoffman Tony de Zuniga (R.I.P.) Joseph Michael Linsner Del Nayra
  4. The irony is that I was so upset about having to relive the disappointment of missing that Enric "Egyptian Queen" that I immediately went to eBay to drown in my sorrows. That's when I found it.
  5. Great minds think alike. I feel good though that it went to someone as passionate about the art as myself. If for some reason I ever need to part with it (I'd sell a LOT of other stuff before that happened though), you will have first dibs at it. As for those other paintings... WOW, just WOW! Enric sure has a way with the brush.
  6. I have no self control... I just bought this piece today on eBay! Vampirella painted in 1995 by Ken Kelly
  7. SO YOU WERE THE GUY THAT BOUGHT IT! I almost bought that piece myself, but I had just blown my war chest on another purchase. I wanted to display it with my Sanjulian because: A) The muted grey tones B) They were both Frazetta tributes C) They were both done by famous Vampirella artists I have regreted not pulling the trigger on that one since.
  8. Oh well then that is a stunner! The red bats really set it off. If you are looking for an inexpensive yet quality place to get an archival frame/mat with UV protected acrylic, this is the place I use: https://framedandmatted.com/ Here is my Sanjulian in one of their frames:
  9. I couldn't tell if you were kidding or not, but I guess the smilely gives it away. I asked because I actually do own two Enric originals. Beautiful art either way though.
  10. @The Lions Den I LOVE that date stamp. I had a CGC 8.5 with a date stamp like that, which I now regret selling.
  11. Happy 50th Birthday Vampirella! On 7/17/1969 she was born, and we fans of hers haven't been the same ever since. I recently completed my high-grade Warren Vampirella run (1-113, Annual, Special) just in time for the celebration so I'm especially happy! I have not graded all of them yet, however here are my three most prized issues from the magazines that I have graded so far. FYI, all three of these books were bought RAW by me and then sent in for grading. Yes, there are still finds like these in the wild!

  13. Have you ever pressed a Vengeance of Vampirella #1? If so what luck did you have? Thanks!
  14. Oh we have met before in the other Vampirella thread. I just had not seen this thread until now. I'm only four issues away from completing my high grade Warren Vampirella run! I will have it done in time for Vampi's birthday on 7/17 though.
  15. I can't believe I didn't see this thread sooner, but here is my contribution. Why do my original and reprint have the same exact grade?
  16. I got two nominies: The original Black Panther What are you going to do with that thing?
  17. I'm not sure if I shared the first painting with you guys, but I also picked up another as well. These are both oil painting commissions from the master Enric Torres. The first one I commissioned for myself, and the second was an auction pick up. Both are around 11x17 in image size, and I'm still deciding on the perfect frames and matting for them.
  18. If you are in a Vampirella thread with this statement, I hope you are joking... Here is one link to educate you: http://www.vampilore.co.uk/artists/gonzalezJ.html
  19. So I just got these two beauties back from CGC today and alas both cases are cracked. Time to send them back in for a reholder. The grades helped cheer me up a least.
  20. I have for sale the original Vampirella #1, featuring the first appearance of Vampirella, graded 8.5 off-white/white pages by CGC. $800 shipped free via FedEx Ground or USPS Priority (depending on who has the best rates) with signature confirmation in the US; however Canadian shipping will be calculated based on actual cost. Paypal is preferred for both of our protection. I don't offer returns for changes of heart, but there should be no surprises. The slab will be well packaged and insured as well. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions.
  21. NOTE TO MODS: I think I have all of the rules checked off this time, but if there is an issue please shoot me a friendly message so I can correct it. I have for sale Superman #76 featuring "The Mightiest Team on Earth!" where Superman and Batman learn each other's secret identities for the first time. It was graded recently by CGC as 6.0 (FINE) with Off-White to White Pages. $1,300 shipped free via FedEx Ground/Home Delivery with signature confirmation in the US, however Canadian shipping will be calculated based on actual cost. Paypal is preferred for both of our protection. I don't offer returns for changes of heart, but with the quality pictures I have uploaded there should be no surprises. The slab will be well packaged and insured as well. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions.
  22. The original first appearance of Vampirella! Graded 9.0 white pages by CGC in a fairly new case. It will be securely packaged and shipped for $1,000 even via Paypal.
  23. I have both of the rare Japanese Vampirella #1 and #2 magazines from 1979. They have beautiful pullout posters as you can see in the pictures. Unfortunately they are too thick (0.5") to be encapsulated by CGC so I may let them go since I'm a slab addict.
  24. The plot thickens... Also, I had been searching eBay randomly for Vampirella #82's (it's one of my favorite Vampirella covers) for about the past 6 months, and I had only seen white UPC copies for sale. The red UPC on mine is what caught my eye originally. I knew it was something special as soon as I saw it.
