  1. Just picked this up, Love these MPF black covers. Tough book in HG
  2. Why is it always people from Cali that come across these things? Never hear of anyone from unknown little town, USA find what people have come across in sheds, storage lockers, attics, basements and the like they do in CA
  3. What's the best? Nothing you've listed here is the best. Take everything you've "learned" online and scrap it, start from scratch and do trail and error, submit books and read the graders notes and decide if you're happy with what you are getting back and what you can improve on. For example "Grader notes : Pebbling. Lesson learned...Using the wrong equipment. Rinse and repeat. That's how I learned.
  4. You don't need to leave the book in the press for 4-24 hours. That's too long. Once the press is up to temp, shut it off. I've already said too much and I don't train for free
  5. Probably inserted the wrong label cause encapsulation dept and QC wasn't paying attention since they are probably rushing
  6. That bend should come out but still might see it a bit under the light and magnification. The whole book gets pressed so all the interior pages will straighten out too.
  7. You have to figure out what exactly people are expecting from you on your listings and fix it. Are you showing 4 or 5 packs of bags and then your description says only 1 for sale? You can't add multiple items in a picture if the customer is only getting 1 pack of bags or boards. People look at pictures and price, not descriptions, general public has A.D.D so you have to make your listings stupid proof. Make the type in your listings big and bold, Use bullet points so it's easy to read and understand.
  8. RegieCollects stretches out what can be said in 2 mins into an hour, takes forever to get to the point. I like Comic Book Investments, he had an excellent interview with his father Mark Wilson. Most comic youtubers just try and hype books up, typically more modern spec books and makes me wonder if any of these "experts" have ever spent more than $500 on a book. Most of them just say "Pick up this book cause a movie is coming" then go and play with their t-shirt press they got off of Amazon for $100 and make a video showing you how to press cause like a teenager who just got his driver's license last week, will make a youtube video and will show you how to drive.
  9. I wonder which graders put 9.8s into 9.6 holders
  10. Just sold a ASM 194 7.0 W this morning on eBay for $500
  11. Find a good local presser, one that doesn't use a T shirt press and/or steamer
  12. I wish people would stop using these presses and steamers.
  13. They don't give out too many 9.8s anymore. Just got grades on 25 books that have never even been opened, not a single 9.8. They must have found a spec of dust on some of them. CGC would just tell me to send them back and spend more money and have them graded to continue the $$$ cycle
  14. It can be flattened out, since it's cardstock it won't be completely gone
  15. Moderns used to be 149 days, down to 118 , still a ways to go but better than rising TATs
  16. Wait till they catch up before submitting, but thats up to you
  17. Anyone else notice (I'm sure you have) that CGC has been hammering grades on Post 75 books? I used to get 9.8 moderns all the time, now I can't get anything. Brand new books, with a press....9.6/9.4/9.2 with no notes. Unbelievable
  18. If you sell something that was posted on eBay and then sell it offline, then take the listing down, eBay will investigate as to why you took it down, they can read eBay messages. So if you take the listing down and they find out someone wanted to buy it offline and you did, they issue warnings/strikes to both parties involved. Only way to prevent it is to leave the listing up but put an insane price on the item no one will ever pay. Don't be surprised if the FF 214 is already sold.
  19. Didn't get trimmed all the way, comics are trimmed on all 3 sides.
