  1. I love the date stamp but the crease top center gives me the heebie-jeebies. I feel like it's marvel chipping just waiting to fall off (but MC is only on the right side, right?)  Whatever, I feel like it's gonna break off...

This is what I know about it: Some guy named Crazy Charlie bought it off the newsstand back in the day. Crazy Charlie had a used bookstore in the Pacific Northwest forever. A man named Judd Lawson had it for a while, so I'm told. The great dancer Magik Woo owned it. He got pissed at CGC. Had the other guys slab it. They graded it at 8.5. Sold for 77k about in 2016. new mystery owner ressubed at CGC - stayed an 8.5, no doubt it's been pressed. I bought it in 2017. Stan Lee sig (signed in 1984) on page 16. The mystery owner from 2016 purchase to 2017 seller did very, very well.

It's probably a little overgraded at 8.5, probably an 8.2 or so.

..............let's get back to celebrating an iconic publication, and maybe talk price here and there for sure ........................

no, there was a Submariner guy that always talked about prices way before batman guy. Submariner guy and his brother owned an AF15 together

I wouldn't call it a staff but there should always be a shop medic. It's the most dangerous part of the whole show being around saws all the time.

you ever work on a non-union show with no medics? I worked on a show on location once and all the "medics" were strippers from a local strip club who were hired because they were cheap, they thought it would be fun to work on a movie!

All hilariously  funny and jokes galore until that dude cut his arm off with a saw....

  4. It was great when SAG didn't walk the picket lines for a couple of days a month or so ago because it was "too hot" at 100 degrees or whatever. You know how many times I've dragged around heavy gear on shoots when it's been over 100 degrees for weeks on end while SAG members sit in their air conditioned trailers waiting for someone to bring them their Starbucks order? It's hard to feel anything good about actors, ever. And yes, I'm aware that there are many lower players in SAG, background players and what not which is just evidence on how they treat their own.

A prop master told me once, "You know why actors act? - because they can't do anything else."

I hate to spoil all the fun, but this book is consistently selling for $15-$20, and there are a lot of copies moving right now with all the Deadpool 3/Taylor Swift rumours.

Your, um,  “friend’s” 50 copies would have cost him $25 new, and he can get $1,000 now. What’s he waiting for?

Umm, my friend paid $20 each for them. Do you see them selling for over 20$?

If I had less scruples and had more freetime, I'd do the following:

    1.  Create an instagram and twitter and facebook account with a semi-official sounding name that is marvel related, like "DisneyMarvelNews", make maybe 5 accounts for each platform.

    2.  Every day for 3 weeks (or longer), retweet a mix of real and rumored Marvel/Deadpool/Xmen movie/tv news on the created social media.  Occasionally (but rarely) retweet between accounts you control.

2.5 Occasionally retweet these directly at the celebrities involved in, make sure you get some related hashtags.

    3.  Scour the internet for pictures of people cosplaying Dazzler, ideally something with a pose that matches the cover of Dazzler 1, and looks like Taylor Swift

    4.  Photoshop a picture of Taylor Swift onto the picture you found of Dazzler.

    5.  Create a professional looking headline (no article needed) using the Dazzler #1 cover AND the Taylor Swift photoshop.  Tweet and post across all platforms you control, with something like "Disney Insiders confirm that Taylor Swift is in consideration to do Marvel Dazzler movie!".  And make a few more of those headlines to post basically posting the same thing.  Then make sure to retweet/share those to any other Taylor Swift/marvel/dazzler/xmen fan sites.

Damn dude, sounds like you've done this before. Thanks!
