  1. Yeah, ok, but is the address a storage locker? I'm sorry guys. I'm starting to hate this rabbit hole I seem to have created. I should have been a cop, but only the kind that wears a suit and wears the badge on the belt with the gun around the shoulder. I'd solve murders of blonde dames in rain slicked alleys with flashing neon casting an eerie glow. But, yet, another dish....
  2. I don't know what that means. I have to go dishes for about 20 minutes. I hate food and everything about it: buying, preparing, cleaning up afterwards. It's pointless.
  3. Ah....a dissenting voice. A conflicting view point. If you haven't guessed I'm pretty bored. It's cooking day for the week. My wife cooks, and, well, I do the dishes.
  4. I used to have a little more cash than I do now. My wife wants to travel a whole lot more.
  5. I've never seen PM sales a pejorative term around here but I'm not here as much as I used too and pay even less attention than I use too so there's that. But your saying people don't like PM sales so I do't recall you lying before so it must be true. It just seems common sense not to broadcast anything about yourself to the world
  6. I understand that was your point. I try and say thank you to those who put the time and care and expertise into a thoughtful answer when I ask a question here or elsewhere. Not that hat you said, but it appears others have in this thread, I never "thought" the registry was the smoking gun, just curious how the registry worked having no clue as I don't participate. Trying to gather clues to make an educated guess about a thief I know nothing about.
  7. Wife did the bait and switch and went to some groovy veganaterian place instead. Hey, marriage is acompromise. Did see a flyer for a Found Footage Film Festval coming up in a week so all was not lost. I love Burger King employee training films from the 70s and 80s. That’s where I first developed an interest in films while working at a Hardee’s in High School and watching their off the wall training films.
  8. So many possibilities on how it got ripped off. Your insights are appreciated
  9. I guess it’s not nice to say wtf is that collection doing in a storage locker (like the ones on Storage Wars?) when this poor fellow had such a massive part of his life and time taken. I hope the find the person(s) who took it, whomever they are and give them to a Black Norwegian Metal band so they can become cover art for an album
  10. dang, I just read vol 1 for fun and didn't treat them like The Dead Sea Scrolls. I have vol 1 -3 . The cat kinda tore up the dust jacket for vol 1, dust jacket for volume 2 and 3 are still sealed in plastic and great great shape. Plus I have the old school covers not the God Awful new artists covers. I'm too rough on stuff to be a collector of the ages, Buying books I'm interested in that are of value already slabbed is kinda what resort I have available.
  11. Don't know what BSD is , but in about 4 hours I'll have some really great Vietnamese food.
  12. Ok, so according to this bit of info it is about letting the world what you have.
  13. I don’t begrudge anyone for the how’s and why and style they collect ( not that anyone says I did). Just curious if creating a registry puts your collection “out there” which I can’t seem to get an answer.
  14. So my original question a page back or two regarding “The Registry” it is a “broadcasting I’ve got theses books” situation?
  15. Now that's what a serious Batman/Detective run needs protection wise!
  16. besides the first mention of the idea of two worlds (that's what I'm told, never personally searched the whole of science fiction to see if this is factual) the story is, em, kinda weak. And yes I have a 6.5 and love it.
  17. Banks won't insure them in their bank vaults. Still gotta buy insurance if you go the Bank Safe Deposit Box route. cool. What he do with building once he bought it?
  18. what if the book is worth 90K? Bank Safe Deposit Box (and I commend you for using proper terminology)? I'm being a combination smarta s s /dumb a s s here but this question is for reals: What is the price point in value for comic to go to bank vault?
  19. I wish someone would find a picture of Kim Anderson circa 1982 and post that. She knows about the wood pile.
  20. If that wood pile could talk. I grew up in the wood in Virginia.
