I'm in and out of consciousness in general, but yes, I'm kinda out of comics for the moment and swinging back into japanese wrist watches.

I for one would love to hear it. I know it takes a great deal of time and energy to tell a story like that but hell sounds fascinating.

Thanks. I remember being a kid and seeing the Star Wars (movie adaption) comics on the racks and my heart skipping a beat like the first time you saw a girl you liked only in her bra.

Never read after the movie adaption (issues 1 - 6) and, to my knowledge, SW #7 this was the first original material based off the film (or was Splinter Of The Mind's Eye novel prior to Marvel's Star Wars #7?) Anyhoo - is Marvel's original Star Wars stories any good?

Who's to say how to respond? It's an individual hunch. Maybe the Action #1 posting Dentist's copy is a kid who just needs someone to be nice to him. Why be mean and run him off he could become a great member of the community and grow into a life long collector? You draw the line and Action #1 poster in your example above. Since I don't feel like accompanying my wife food shopping and she believes me to be here at the computer writing her friend in jail a letter, I'd like to keep this thread going. What makes someone here believe a first time poster is a "drive by" or not? How do you decide how much effort to put into a reply of a first time poster? You mean viewing the forum while not being logged in? I suppose that's possible. But from the facts I see, OP requested stories without putting much effort into it. Actually no effort. And than put no effort into coming back and seeing the positive effort that several people (not me so much, but others. I actually I didn't put any effort because I figured it was a drive by and I was correct in that) made in telling SL stories. I mean the OP came, posted one thing, NEVER returned. Again, perhaps they viewed responses (positive ones mind you) not logged in and decided not to return to say "Hey thanks for the stories!". I'm not gonna die on this hill, it's just my opinion dude made no effort at all.

OP came once, posted, never came back to see responses. Good responses, bad responses, sassy responses, any responses. OP just never bothered to come back regardless of what anyone posted.

I guess it all comes down to if you believe the OP was a child and that it was an honest request. I have no idea honestly but was kindly leaning towards it was a shilly OP with a nonsensical post hence a my nonsensical response as in you get what you give. Put no energy into post, get no energy back. Now if this was truly a kid maybe not such a bad lesson for him/her to learn: Put a little more effort into things and you'll get a more effort returned. Now if it was a really little, little kid, I dunno. I say put a little more effort into things as life just doesn't hand stuff to you. You gotta work for it. Even as an 8 year old my post would have been a little more detailed. I would have put more work into it. Now maybe this child has developmental problems. Maybe we should assume all first time posters have developmental problems. You can argue a person has a poor disposition if you assume the OP is a jerk wad jerking our chain, but you can't really blame longtime folks around here for thinking it's a shilly OP given the history around here.
