  1. I am new to the hobby, joined here in the summer, and the amount of Frazetta, Jeff Jones, BWS art is overwhelming. Is this just luck of the draw or can I expected a choice of BWS conan pages across CL and HA auctions for the foreseeable future?
  2. Recently Heritage shipped me a smaller framed glass piece and they applied an entire sheet of sticky blue plastic to the glass. I did also receive a masonite piece, still in my garage, but cannot recall what piece it was. I think it was Marie Severin colored WF 21 Russ Cochran piece (also framed).
  3. Hard to say. Someone sold two Warren mags on eBay this year with Frank's signature. I think I linked to one somewhere in this thread. Both sold for around 200 and I recall one had to be relisted due to lack of a bid. That wouldn't happen with a CGC SS seal of approval.
  4. Thanks, one of my favorite covers, actually.
  5. Don't suppose you have the cover to Vampirella 10, or know if the art exists??
  6. Where do you put the values of these today? By the tone I assume the Vamp 1 has appreciated far less than the others??
  7. Wasn't 14k for an interior page quite the outlier anyway.
  8. Was that the one sold recently on this forum? If so, nice pickup.
  9. I keep hoping that Fox Business show they did on Frazetta makes it online. I think it was called Strange Inheritance.
  10. Yup, already did, I plan to shoot more photos as well.
  11. Yeah that's mine. I am experimenting, it won't sell.
  12. I was confused by this turn as well.
  13. I jokingly suggested I would be in for this when the auction link first posted. Logistically likely not worth anyone's time but I would be interested.
  14. Really trying not to derail the thread, but curious what you think makes an A level BWS conan page. I am not disagreeing with you on these pages, just curious. I assume it is some combination of conan in every panel, + girl + great beast/monster. Thanks Chris
  15. Is there a term for these types of pages. anti-splash??
  16. Yeah those Further Adventures pages I have no interest in, personally. If they bring 300 apiece then the movie adaptation would surely command more. I guess 2012 was a better year to buy when 2 continuous pages sold for 508 and 433 across two lots. Heck in 2015 the bar scene page brought 359.
  17. I too was counting the somewhat disappointing cover result from Heritage, same auction also turned some circa 5k interior pages although clearly these weren't key pages either.
  18. I quite liked this oil cover myself. Soooo, does this mean you are passing on the prelim cover tomorrow
  19. Congrats on the pickup. I posted about this page because (again) "recent" comps for these pages were in the 300 dollar range so this seemed to be an anomaly before floor bidding even began.
  20. Was just coming back to post this. I have to say the prices in the HA auction seem pretty strong for Conan stuff (just watched the Norem prelim sell for 500). I just can't believe how much Conan stuff there is from Marvel to Dark Horse, pin ups galore, SSOC pages everywhere you look.
  21. He confirmed on FB he did buy the De Zuniga piece. I had to laugh that I thought I may have had a shot at that only to realize I never, ever did
  22. On the BWS lot I figure the splash could be 30-40k with anywhere from 6-12k per interior page. Its hard to imagine this lot not being broken up, unless I am underestimating the pool of Conan diehards (or BWS fans) willing to sink 200k into an issue. Note the single BWS page on CLINK recently sold at HA for 14k! Someone must not like that page to relist it so quickly (unless there was something else going on); 14k is the most expensive single Conan page in the HA archives, though dealers ask for more.
  23. Onto tomorrow, my minor league tastes had me watching the Buscema Raiders page, which is already over 1.3k. Again, I am comps guy and all I can do is scratch my head on this one. Great scene, the art itself is rather lackluster on this page.
  24. Have things changed this drastically since the last few pieces of his sold on HA (that I could find at least) or is this piece that top shelf. I see an interior page and a cover for 89 and 460 respectively (2004 and 2009 dates).
