Thanks for listing these great books today! Lucky I was able to snag something cool.

I would take at $165, but I defer to those ahead of me in line.

Sorry, I lost part of my text.
Planet Comics # 46 Fiction House, 1947, there are a whole bunch of artists, including Lilly Renee.
The book has nice pages, nice color and some small tears, one at the top of the spine. Grade is Gd/VG or a tiny bit better. Bin is $16
5.00
Take it

Now for the silver age I was lucky to find a dealer who had more than five in the bins. I know many books under 130 maybe behind the counter, but 139 and 147 was on walls, 153 and 165, 155, 174, 140 were non existent. Most of the stock was 150 up and very seldom Rogues issues.(did find one copy of 150 at maybe G+) Did however pick up 127 with Grodd at around 7.0. Very happy with that. I think of all DC books only Batman (includes Detective) and Flash are the most collectable from the silver age followed by early Supes titles and JLA. That was just one Con, but interested in opinions.
I've been collecting a run from 105-300. Like Flashlites, I buy pretty much everything online. I don't have time to go to cons, and digging around in comic shops for Silver Age is mostly useless.
Any issues before 140 are tough to find in any grade. But it can even be tricky finding some of the later bronze age issues. Flash's rogues gallery is up there with Spider-Man and Batman, and there are so many imaginative, desirable covers.
I agree, Flash rules the DC Silver Age. (After all, he started it.) The Batman books are fun, but they become more compelling in the Bronze Age.

From memory this precedes Brainiac and the bottles city of Kandor
City/Planet-In-A-Bottle seems like such a common trope in DC comics. What were its origins?
(Grant Morrison just used it recently in The Green Lantern #3.)

In my limited experience, CGC is pretty forgiving about the spine cracks as long as the marks are not visible on the front cover. It seems inevitable due to the way those books are bound.
You're more likely to get points deducted for the small tears at the top and bottom of the spine, and little scratches near the top staple.

I've got a little bit of feedback on eBay myself, so I do understand, but as much as I hate using this term, you are a little new here. I have nothing against new people at all, I love new people coming, but the forum has been changing over the years and I think that is what some of us are trying to say. This is not eBay.
Uh, I've been here 2.5 years. But I guess to some degree I'm still a n00b.
Weird response from well known auction house re:damaged slab

The response is obnoxious and unprofessional. It is not just 15$ to you. There is shipping involved, and probably at least an hour of your time.
What is their return policy? They should offer to re-holder the book for you, or give you your money back.
