  1. ya put it in the wrong thread on accident...clicked the wrong doohicky, saw "grading" in this title and thought I was clicking on "spare a grade"----sorry I would move it to the "spare a grade" but can't seem how to even delete this thread....I apologize for the mixup- thank you for the estimable grade anyway and your patience. I appreciate it
  2. it looked as though it might pass for off-white to white in bright lighting, now seams there might be a little cream in there The staples are firmly attached and has value stamp-book complete has a tear at top left near price, not sure how long it is didn't measure but it seems to be a little longer than one that I had that came back 6.5 if that helps... whatever you call it near staples only one goes back toward the back cover, should be noticable in pics also there seems to be "ripples" up close on the back upper right? maybe it got damp?it does not go to the back page...just back cover.... anyway, I'm thinking 3.5 but I don't know if that is conservative or not....
  3. ditto what I wrote in "this week in collection", posting here cause I just got them back from CGC sent off-----June 22nd '16
  4. I am probably late to the party, otherwise expect a lot to come on sale now. Been 4 months since I sent these, sounds about right. I enjoyed the artwork, as I am new to Michael Turner, but I'm tempted to sell the sketch cover to recoupe all the costs of the books and CGC costs. I am not really a flipper though and my family and friends like the sketch (Turner's actual doodle) better and think I'll regret if I sell...
  5. Sweet I am wondering what will happen when copper age's like NM 98 become commonly CGC'd in 7.0 and lower. I have a 7.0 myself....as well as a 9.0 but will, as deapool develops in character in movies and comics etc., be found more in lower grades and as expensive as what is being commonly sold now? I've also thought about when all these popular or trendy comics such as BA 12 and IH81, yes their key's, are all for sale already CGC'd----example Xmen 94 & GSXM 1 how that will be sold or marketed----I haven't seen the market for Xmen 94 OR GSXM 1 very long but right now there seem's to be a dip in price but all seem to be CGC'd already so basically I think it takes the "fun?" out of it, being that your just buying a "grade" idk just something I think about
  6. Thanks sorry for the horrible pic's but it was late, I have yet to get one above 5.0 I'll upgrade sooner or later depending on populatity of the book, will IH 181 hang steady and climb in the future is the question, one can hope
  7. Got a new one this week no worries it will survive unscathed of a SS hopefully a little better than a 2.5
  8. Been in the club since June 2016, and probably before but let's not quibble----anybody interested in the new Scott Campbell/StanLee label? I figured since it was low grade maybe give it some uniqueness... right? but seriously it's my first SS I got myself so it was fun....(I know it's not e'rybody's deal)
  9. Has some dings and what not but I'm happy with what I can afford at the moment If this is too big I will attempt to fix----ask for your patience
  10. Well as I'm getting back into "collecting" I heard about CGC graded pulp and figured they have to have a website....originally came in order to submit on my own...but found a comic shop that has enough traffic to CGC in order to get me a good price and handle shipping well... I've got back plenty of 9.6's (no 9.8's) but that's another chat....ended up just using the census (verification anyway) and reading up on SS events in chatterbox room
  11. Hello! I'm MARK I knew that the Census was free, I had been reading the chatboards but just realized it is free as well didn't realize it until 7 months later I got into comics when I was 5 years old with TMNT #1 but was too young to buy it.... was old enough to have my own money around ASM #300 went to college and came back to comics with money enough for a modest collection....only been to 3 comic conventions already have some SS CGC and looking forward to some funny book madness!!
