Indeed. It's not the end of the world of course, but CGC really know how to destroy value, don't they. I feel like I attended The Oscars ceremony four days ago and still don't know who won. Oh, hang on, just saw Al Pacino in the toilet. He got best supporting actor. ya not the end of the world to be sure! Just trying to keep it light hearted and fresh in the minds, hopefully to stir some excitement when we see a full list of winners I don't slab anything so I don't even know why I'm here I will still enjoy the celebration of others. I've tried looking at sets, but have my "own criteria" with which I search, namely pics of the slabs. A lot of people DO tend to have a high percentage of completion with pics though I'm still getting used to looking and seeing a lot of #1 slots for multiple years, but the "awards" can only pic a few. Maybe 10 per year out of 20 years, compared to how many #1 sets are out there!

I'll admit my 1st experiences with the character were exciting, after that it just got hard to read. Bright side? I now know why my friend as a kid always gave me the side eye for reading them

No worries then. Streaming may have somewhat leveled the playing field as to what is available in other media over seas. If you can catch up on the Static character in the cartoon or other, there is a lot to like, but as of recently the only moving value being movie speculation, idk if it is just low hanging fruit. All in good fun I would think as he doesn't come up in regular conversations for me very often, I could see how you needed to use investigative skills. Even Batman Beyond, which is possibly more attractive in nostalgia, has actually gone down in value recently, so I way over paid. Good for you to do due diligence. Static was fun but a very 90's portrayal.

I was going to push it for the future of that "middle ground", but only because it is probably "where I'm at as well!" I just like to find stuff in the wild, recently got back a "price newsstand edition" in 7.0 I bought it raw for $2. I'd just assume to be content not throwing it away, no dog in a fight.
