McFarlane Signature Real/Fake Opinions
ADAMANTIUM replied to Brewcrewfan77's topic in Comics General
I'm not sure what you're asking so I don't want to discourage. If you sent in for the "witnessed McFarlane inhouse signing" it would get a yellow label for it, if you already have a sig that is "unwitnessed" it would also get a green label.... SO no 50/50 per se, just one authenticated witnessed sig and one that is not If you mean because of all that, that it would be both yellow AND green? yes it would be, but the ratio of "50/50" is a misnomer It would be one witnessed and one not, or however many sigs you had, it only makes a difference if witnessed or not. I think I understood your question -

Glad you got some perspective, and welcome! Hope it goes well There is a lot to get accustomed to, so take some con pics and have a ball! Also worth noting, since I needed to let someone else know today as well that: A CGC facilitator or representative has to "witness the signing" in order for any signatures to obtain a yellow label. The membership tiers are different, and or, based on how much you're planning on submitting. I suggest the lowest tier that offers the $150 in membership credit. AFAIK it still counts toward sig series, plus you are basically getting a membership for $150 and receiving the same $150 to use toward submissions. It is basically "free" in that regard, as you get to use what you put in by paying upfront. Also once you have the membership, if you put it on "auto-renew" and when it becomes time in a year, the membership is only $130, but you still get the full $150 credit, saving you $20

McFarlane Signature Real/Fake Opinions
ADAMANTIUM replied to Brewcrewfan77's topic in Comics General
It might mean the signature wasn't witnessed by a CGC representative when it was signed. That's how cgc authenticates signatures, having a representative witness it, that's the only way to obtain a yellow label. -
Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???
ADAMANTIUM replied to InfantTerrible's topic in Comics General
It’s my actual name, which is a common Armenian first name. Had to add the 1 after some Board update in 2017 but I’ve been on here since ‘07. As for the bad?… Buying comics today is essentially like buying a new car, you lose 40-50% of the value as soon as the auction ends… https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/80-account-merge-requests/ Not sure if this link would work. @CGC Mike can he merge or get his account back? or is it hard to do? @dikran1 There were boards glitches that added a #"1" at the end of accounts that didn't update well in the boards site update. There was talk at the time of how to fix it, this is the best that I can remember that no one seemed to notice before now -
Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???
ADAMANTIUM replied to Wally's Comics's topic in Comics General
Not in general, no. Especially for in-house signings. In house signings usually promise 6 weeks no press and 8 weeks with a press, TAT, for signed books. If it wasn't signed at an in-house signing specifically, then it would just have the TAT for whatever tier of book they are regardless of "when they were signed" -
That's a lot of boxes, so I'm glad to hear there were a few gems

Indeed! I sent in for a signing, received last Monday, but hasn't checked in on submission tracking. I'm waiting to see what they charge me, as I had something like $45 in credti, it supposedly is all encompassing nowso we shall see! Glad you got grades! I won't pry to see what they were, but I'm hoping for pics upon arrival.

Whew! Glad there is something satisfactory! I look forward to the post in back from cgc, I desperately need to send some moderns in, in time.
-
And shipped. Jumped to QC and then shipped within a couple of hours, which was outstanding. Hopefully that happens to me. oh they were "ME's" I've slept since yesterday

we're yours still the econ slow or moderns that got back from ccs and are shipped? from january, correct? if I'm following the day to day, one post summarizing? A good recap every once in a while! No worries!

Also, after asking "what are the 'changes' that are happening?" as those haven't been mentioned to my knowledge.... Are the "changes" retroactive? or are they from here on out? So far nothing looks "changed" in the registry, so not sure what were discussing exactly I don't believe that we have a frame of reference yet ..... @wytshus

Idk if it was posted in this thread, but more recently 2 different signature series 9.8s signed by Stan Lee only sold for $50,000 & $45000. Just for frame of reference. This is the first blue label I've seen posted in a while
