  1. that high of grade, I'd love to see the under copy nice!
  2. I liked your post, but CGC isn't responsible for the market they just split a wishbone last Thanksgiving? Congrats on the book though! It's a looker, and it's one I am missing too haha
  3. do you have your own cgc account? if yes, then insure it for what you want through the "bonded?" FedEx or USPS registered mail? If you don't have your own cgc membership I can see your trepidation, as you wouldn't have a way to track your books through CGC's system. May I suggest the membership tier that gives you the price paid for membership as membership credit towards submissions? That $150 credit now covers towards everything in a CGC order, but if the cost is higher, you'd pay the difference when CGC receives the books.
  4. very seldom, probably under 10-15 times in the 40 years I've been alive thats including the times that it was any kind of frost or such. I remember one superbowl here in Dallas, snow fell off the new stadium and caused some casualties. We're sometimes not prepared.

  6. supposed to get up to 105- to 106 Fahrenheit this weekend, and that's without heat index and being in the shade..... Still I give thanks to the one who has kept my AC working
  7. ya we found the tin at the lake, but in the city. There are public places that don't mind too much, as long as the dig isn't more like an excavation. We bought detectors that only really detected 6-10 inches deep, and everything we "found" was only about 4-6 deep.
  8. I got all of that on the first look, except the "goes into." Given my southern twang from Texas I should have figured, but I might have been sleepy 😴 ficking to sleep
  9. oh I'm not sure what was worth keeping or sought after, my cousin seemed a bit happy about the tin find, but I didn't really get gassed up on the hobby. I thought it was fun for kicks, but I didn't go into all of the details.
  10. if they are having onsite grading specifically then yes that can happen. Just dropping off at a con doesn't really translate unless it is advertised as onsite grading. CGC goes to a lot of cons for people to drop off, but it is only onsite grading and appearing early first chance you get to drop off that institutes the possible Sunday completeness
  11. Black Lightning #1 is a seriously cool book! I can agree on black lightning, I only watched the show a few times, but DC seems on the back burner sometimes, as is the case with watching the show. Still I give it an A for effort. I'm not old enough to know perception of bronze books that well, I surely thought hero for hire would be more of a component for marvel, but at least it DOES hold value if collecting for that purpose.
