  1. I did question myself when I came to that word in the sentence. The phrase never had any "real world" applications for me apparently. I really didn't know it was toed instead of towed. I thought about it and took a guess, not one I've had to write often, thankfully. Learn something new every day Just in case you thought it was a typo, I truly just didn't know.
  2. It is amazing how much these two look alike. I blame the 70's 80's haircut
  3. and here I :thought" that meant I was keeping it straight, in one lane and in a straight line of vehicles to each his own
  4. I like to think this is the ballpark I'm swinging in, tough to tell what's what though. I like to think I've towed the line.
  5. I said hi to @mysterio and @Monster's Lair Comics all three days, really nice folks. Actually traded a silver age first mention of pennyworth and I think, and vg Howard the duck #1 bronze and third and fourth sabertooth to them. Nicely done and satisfying. They had a mixed selection to choose from, it was nice. I bought two more slabs today and a raw, I was definitely more cheerful today, as the crowds lessened back to Friday levels. GOt a Texas sized selfie with @Crops068 yesterday and a photo op with the Undertaker who is a a immovable tall wrestler, but I think I forgot to smile in all photos after the walking. Lol my bad folks! I had dealers tell me they were happy and satisfied, with plenty of smiles from them.
  6. I got a photo op with the undertaker, but With the sun, freshly shaven and haircut of mine were not the embellishments I should have been looking for, as I also forgot to smile and have a grimace on my face. Live and learn that after an hour and a half of standing on feet ... 😂 I needed to look alive for thirty seconds
  7. I gave my dad a card that said, "thanks for being a dad that kept me from doing silly shoot 65% of the time, with dad jokes and owning up to mistakes the other 35%!" The dad's make us proud to have seen us at our worst and still provide support
  8. I will say most dealers were hospitable. I had a stack of about 13 $10 books that I brought yesterday, and the dealers were pretty cool. As some have stated their prices were a little high to begin with. First dealer chose 3 (I think it was a vg hawk and dove #1 and vg/f "Fear #20" and I forget the third) out of the stack and gave $35 off a $135 for a Starslayer #2 CGC 9.2. so I paid $100 even GoCollect has that at $110, but last couple of sales as y'all have said have been dismal. It would look as though I got burned, but I don't blame anyone. The other dealer chose 1 book (an Airboy #5) and took $25 off a "$150 book", which was a copy of Adam Hughes "Dirty Pair" that homages Dave Stevens. So I paid $125 it was fun, but first day like you said @1Cool or that @jsilverjanet was alluding to,was better, or for flipping anyway, I enjoyed the room to move around freely most of all If you looked at "keys" they wanted to impress with price, but they had slabs like ASM #259 cgc 9.6 for $115, and some of the Mcfarlane Run of ASM in 9.6 frr $55 I think that was #304. Just cause wall slabs in my pics aren't "all of what was there" No worries!
  9. Ya I figured, I just didn't know if it was because of my photos, because I took them upon entering. Not a lot of people at food court when just opening etc and there "ended up" with quite a few later on. I wanted to clarify in case my pics gave the wrong impression. But again I had forgot how crowded it normally is, until yesterday on Saturday, which was sold out.... so ya Friday was light especially at the beginning.
  10. Whoa impressive! I think it's my favorite character too, idk if just for the cover to #68. #111 gives a run for the money. The earlier issues, especially#44, seemed so blocky built when first seen. I'd say it's more descriptive art from #68 onward. Nice sketch, and glad it hit 9.8!
  11. Ah that is a much bigger piece than I realized, so cool, the sig is a nice touch too. I remember something of what you've told about it, it's a personal piece all around. Kudos! Glad to see you make it, I too have the advert of hulk vs wolvie, but mine is from Marvel Premiere #19. Was there a different issue that had it too? My keepsake of the ad was yellow label page Yours has class

  13. That thunderbolts! Who knew? Nice, the flea market has been very good to you.
  14. Tales of the crypt was there, golden age, but I was there when two people looked at them and asked the price 😂 I saw a lot of Star Wars and super hero stuff. Pain some of the dealers had shared booths with separate stuff in separate areas, so if looking for slabs it was hard to view it all.
  15. Amen! I got in his line like 3 times yesterday, I ended up not purchasing as what I was asked... was just too expensive, but I had gone back to double check other stuff and didn't want to hold up the line going on and on.... As I'm about to do here But the man is good natured, he suffered me, and he didn't lose his cool. It was pricey, and I was trying to make sure I understood what it was I could afford to strike possible's off my list. I have some raw Invincibles, and turns out a remarque may be all I CAN afford without spending it all but was good to hear him be willing to do even sketches on artboard and etc. Past couple of years it seems it hasn't been available from some.
  16. Awesome nDemik, just started and already passing it along to the next generation, kudos! learning and knowing are half the battle Yo Joe!
