  1. Again - what you purchased it for should be irrelevant. You should get paid $3K because that is what it will cost you to replace it. I used the car example before but the same works for home owners insurance. You buy a house for $200k 30 years ago that is worth $3M today - your replacement cost is something much closer to $3M. Just spit-balling but what about people who paid at the height of the market, who's books are now worth less? My inclination of the benefit of the doubt with CGC, is if you bought at the height under the understanding that the CGC label was legit, you'd still get compensated.... I'm not sure that it is the current FMV or like insurance at all, if it is only worth $3000, but you bought it for 5k, I would want the 5k if cgc has any true guarantee
  2. I was looking at my copy today wondering how to process having picked it up, I should sit down and read to enjoy, no such thing as coincidence s! Still probably holds up, if just to remember

  5. Problem is Crow 1 isn't technically a 1st appearance and yet I forget the criteria for this thread.
  6. That's another club. I wanted to start a CPR club. Cerebus 1, Primer 2 and Raphael 1. Only because I doubt I'll ever get a TMNT 1 or Albedo 2. I have crow and Raphael, but even primer might be out of my reach

  9. I was asked by a fellow attendee this year, when the announcements might start.... I was assuming March maybe? if it is in June, perhaps late March to early April?
  10. Same boat. I even owned a few but couldn't get past the 1st app, just too much quiji board type stuff going on to promote it or feel satisfied. It has since caused me to avoid some other titles of the same origin, while I own things like sandman and or other, it is with a personal story to the book; description of the True supernatural with Christ in my registry description. If it isnt as blatent or posed as an option, well it is fiction, but I've still seen too much in my life to live like i play with fire This day and age that may seem extreme, but "horror" as some people call it, doesn't float a lot of peoples boat. I guess I could leave it as simple as that, time will tell, while I agree the allure of the cover once hit the spot! I guess I'm not 15 years old anymore @Westy Steve I realize that may have seemed tmi, and typing watching wrestling I'm all thumbs. Still I share the sentiment, of they "look vibrant"
  11. I was just wondering the other day who to ask this, but When the hair is white like that? You still use a white marker? Or sometimes do you let the white cover do the coloring? It was a random thought I had, but was wondering if there were only certain circumstances? Haha I'd assume
  12. I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but yes, it was decent. It was a bit grown up, if you're used to watching things like NCIS or the like, it is good but just as slow... It isn't a thrill ride all the time, so some might call it grueling. Was it worth the watch upon release where it isn't all available at one time? yes, but idk if anyone just starting now would get through it all. Kind of psychological at times or grueling imo. It is gritty if you're into that, still thankful I saw it all, but I wouldn't go through it again But that is me personally, I need upbeat stuff most of the time, but it IS GOOD.
