  1. Ironically was thinking about this character from the street the other day, as it was my mom's favorite too, so you're not alone!
  2. All it made me think of was "it is up to the consignor to ok sending back to CGC?" Idk but maybe some aren't willing? Lol meaning the owner selling on heritage, idk perhaps they aren't in a forced position and or need $$ quicker than waiting on cgc or the next possible auction Idk
  3. That's awesome @Namtak quite the OA collection! I know @onlyweaknesskryptonite is truly
  4. I'm aware that gpaanalysis keeps track of multiple cover sales, but idk how often this book has had them or if paying a gpaanalysis subscription for the one book would be worth it. It is the only place that can look back far enough with details that "I'm aware of!". Maybe someone with a paid subscription will come along to help out?
  5. I'd be shocked if @comicwiz doesn't get the Hobby Hero plaque also! I honestly thought the same
  6. It was all gone by noon yesterday. It was so flaky with no ice that people had video on the news of clearing off their sidewalk with a electric leaf blower 😂😆 It still like 12 degrees fahrenheit with a feel of 0 but
  7. Is it odd that CGC didn't lay out the grade? for each cover? like they normally do?
  8. The boards didn't even load for me until now and since last night , and this was a welcomed surprise to return too!! Hope you enjoy
  9. I believe so early on, or maybe later after 2000s as well. I was speaking again of 7.0 after 2000, that are just dirt cheap in the wild. I see these issues very common in direct in near mint. The newsstand usually are vf like he said, but havent been returned, so why they're there idk. If they were returnable. Copper and 90s modern, usually have some kind of value built in to them, that it could be a preferance over all, and yet I'm pretty sure they were returnable.. After finding several 7.0 after 2000 available, perhaps these were just bought off the stands so the "shop" couldnt return them? After 2000 may just be less common over all, and if 9.8 makes it in value, vf might follow suit? It is all hearsay or spceculation, although i know it is promoted and or shopped for, even i myself dont watch the videos. Everytime on social if I asked "you going to get the newsstand?" Its followed by foolsgold, so i cant follow up with a "reason why?" Lol
  10. Just to say, what you say about 9.8 and 7.0 is not wrong, but I've found mostly 7.0 in the wild and one can dream. That is why I argue 9.8 might lift all boats, but that is if it has traction due to year, publication, and status of importance. If that was not clear A windmill that gusts in copies from time to time, for me, but is I'd agree a market for now, in the future and by how much who knows
  11. It's a tilting windmill that gets gazed at from time to time. I'd argue even 7.0 cgc of newsstands are acceptable, but again depending on year, publication , and status of importance. And yet it'll take years before any traditional value would be applicable, imo. That's all for my collection wants and attributes. Going forward who knows. If not for the youtuber it is mostly not mentioned that I know of, mostly every time I've asked I've got that it is foolsgold. Lol that's all free and from my experience
  12. yours was delivered, might be hard to post pics, but Idk if that was a "have too" but it would keep the thread Alive No worries, just glad it made it
  13. Man I was going to fill out a video game submission for the 2 ps1 games I got in Boards Gift exchange... $40 per game cost, $5 handling fee, not bad.... Then got to the shipping back to me, and it was $30.... sounds steep, I guess I'll wait. I haven't sent a comic sub in a while either, I would have thought the base for comics was $16 or $18, up to like 5 books, then $2 for the next limit of 5 books and etc. Been a long time
  14. Location: What??!! Where?? I didn't really know whereabouts you were located, but I'll assume somewhere usually warm
  15. every once in a while! The only reason it is a "concern" is, because of how often (seldom) we "aren't as prepared?" We have the brine spray and the salt with sand and etc. Just not "accustomed"
  16. Lol I wished someone Happy Birthday hoping it was warm for them, in the personal announcements, and they turned out to be from Wisconsin I had even done the weather for Dallas in Celsius as that was negative seven or eight. Lol that and Green Bay making thorough playthings of the cowboys Saving grace? Was waking up to flakes no ice today!
  17. awesome! I always loved the "unlimited books" as a kid! I was never sure if they were canon or their own tales, but they made for good over sized reading! Was it bagged and boarded at HPB? or did you not find out until you got home? Sometimes their books are so crammed it would be hard to flip through the singles
