  1. And which retcon was this in? Seriously, in New Mutants he was initially just a throw-away assassin for hire that had some cool moves and a nifty costume. Readers liked him, and then came the healing powers, the lame origin and the oatmeal face.
  2. Do you know what killed Deadpool? When they turned his face into oatmeal.
  3. You keep asking the same question.... You keep getting the same answer: no one is going to be running to unload a couple of $5 books.
  4. Asked and answered. Are you really this dense, or are you just trying especially hard?
  5. That's a part of it, but in my case, I really only sell comics that are "worth my time". I'm not starving and I'd rather keep my books than blow them off for $5 a piece.
  6. Please see previous reply: "The problem is, if I sell them raw, it's not really worth the time and effort, and if I get them graded and they come back 9.4 to 9.6, it's really not worth my time and effort. So they sit."
  7. Yeah, and in the lots I purchased, there would commonly be multiples of about 96-up, along with 3-5 copies of #100. That last issue must have sold like mad.
  8. Trust me, the book's not rare and I've got quite a few here. Early on in my EBay days, I was hoarding this run (sue me) and virtually every NM set I bought had #98 in it, and were in the proper grade or higher. The problem is, if I sell them raw, it's not really worth the time and effort, and if I get them graded and they come back 9.4 to 9.6, it's really not worth my time and effort. So they sit.
  9. There's an absolute ton of these out there (it's not really a variant per se)....
  10. Definitely, and the clay kitty litter example is intended for multiple books. If you've just got one, baking soda would probably work better.
  11. Try clay-based kitty litter. Make sure the comic is protected (cardboard between it and the litter, bagged but open, and then seal it in a box with the kitty litter.
  12. Kudos to Lighthouse for a nice CGC Miller DD, and USM Trade. P.S. House: Since you're busy, I paid for the DD book, and when things get back to normal, we can work out the TPB.
  13. Oh man Marvelous, now you're just being shilly.
  14. That was just a dig on someone posting that you needed X post (5K) or something to get a Custom Quote. As I had way more than that, the "go away little low-post children" comment kinda irritated me, so as usual, I spoke my mind. I think I stayed out of that particular thread, but there was another (more serious) one where I stated I did not actually want one.
  15. And in all seriousness, there was an entire thread devoted to deciding which custom title to give me. JC Superstar, Mr. Crash, etc. were bandied about, but I stated that I didn't want one, and really have no interest in this banal activity. Now as for if Arch would have actually given me one, if I hadn't nixxed the idea... now that's a whole different story.
  16. Yeah, I should amend that to include "requests from the Inner Circle".
  17. If "crying" is taking part in the thread, then welcome to the Crew!
  18. Any discussion on the goings-on of CGC, the CGC Forums, various CGC sellers, and anything that could remotely be construed as negative, is not welcome. Keep the wheels of commerce going boyz.
  19. I aint "in with Arch" either...all I did was drop a quick PM asking..."Howzabout giving me a custom title"...an hour later ...viola .... I rest my case.
  20. I've been standing the Forum Ledge for years. No seriously, how did you get yours?
  21. I'm not wishing for anything, just answering the question in a candid way. I asked a few people how they got their titles, and it was "If you're in with Arch, just send him a PM". As I'm obviously no t"in" with the Forum Brass, why bother?
  22. He's a [!@#%^&^] cat, who can switch from nice to not-so-nice in an instant. All he needed to do was catch Arch on the good day.
  23. Nah, just pucker up and shoot Arch a PM. Oh yeah, and close your eyes.
