  1. SOLD! This one’s odd….a complete beater Fight Comics #29, Mis-ordered via amateur resto — pages 3,4 (a single leaf) has been glued back into the book but as the very last page, out of order. The detached centerfold and detached single leaf from the center are inserted in the correct order but not reattached. Still, a complete WWII Fiction House that is loaded with their stock in trade GGA. (WAS $50) NOW $40
  2. I’ve still got to shoot more and comb more boxes, but here come the other two that I have shot already….
  3. SOLD via PM! Fightin’ Air Force #12 VG range. 1958 Charlton 100-pager with an awesome Nick Alascia cover. Love those lighting effects he captures. (WAS $25) NOW $20
  4. Well, I have been delayed, but the good news is there’s already at least a dozen more in the stack of books to shoot, and I have just begun combing. I have four shot so far that I planned to post last night before being foiled. Let’s get one or two up now….
  5. The Archie 68 and FF 6 are recent upgrades; the Battlefield #4 was Joe Sinnott’s personal file copy. The rest were just too nice to pass up.
  6. More tomorrow, including an entry-level FF #6 due to an upgrade. (Sorry, no advance PM sales as it’s now committed to coming to the thread UPDATE - It was here and I pulled it for trade locally.). There’s also a classic GA Archie cover and even a Charlton 100-pager in the stack so far.
  7. SOLD via PM! Love Diary #20 (Charlton 1962) conservative VF+ or better. Slightest whiff of stack roll, which would press out, and light dust shadow on back cover edge. As nice or nicer than best copies offered on eBay, and priced lower. I know I said three books tonight, but I had these photos ready as it’s a rerun from my last Mixed thread, now priced lower. — (WAS $40) NOW $30
  8. Brave and the Bold #11 in FN/FN-. A cgc 4.5 sold in June for $396 on HA, and they sold a raw that they graded FN/VF in April 2022 for $900. From the scans, that book is marginally nicer though this one has a better wrap. Go look; it’s close. If you chase this title, you know how tough the first 24 are in grade. For the boards, let’s do (WAS $600) NOW $500
  9. SOLD! Archie Comics #62 VGFN. Top staple looks separated with front cover open but it is attached at the back. A slabbed 5.0 recently went $150 on eBay; this spine looks cleaner. Let’s go (WAS $100) NOW $75 here.
  10. Approved Comics #6 going GVG here for the back cover sliver missing upper left, and the upper left corner of the last page. Otherwise a VG range looker from the front. Matt Baker cover. (WAS $50) NOW $30
  11. Not sure how long this will take, or how many books it will run for. I have at least seven picked out, and I’m committed to combing my boxes for items to let go of here (and also for a trade discussion that is ongoing.) I have added a lot of stuff lately and it’s time to revisit my focus as well as part with some undercopies. Three books tonight to start…
  12. 5 Simple Rules (Please, please read) 1st wins; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread. Payment is Check or Money Order (yeah, yeah I know I'm a dinosaur, troglodyte, luddite, mennonite, hermaphrodite etc. - I just don't have or want e-payments.) Shipping: Via USPS Priority is $10 for a Flat Rate Legal Envelope with a flip n ship mailer inside, or $17 for a Medium Flat Rate box, depending upon size needed. Don't be listy including the little one in my head. Returns: Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt and get it back to me in the same shape on your dime, except no returns on graded books. (Kudos thread linked under my avatar.)
  13. John Hebert’s recreation, which was recently published as the cover of a reprint edition of Chamber of Chills #19. (Logo etc was added digitally.) Edited to add a picture of the published version too.
  14. Yes, I’m cross-posting — John Hebert’s recreation for a recently published reprint edition. Edited to add a picture of the published version too.
  15. Just picked up this cover OA from John Hebert today — his recreation for a recently published reprint edition of CofC #19. Edited to add a picture of the published version too.
  16. I think our best shot is a Challs adaptation from Warner Brothers, if it ever happens.
  17. This. And I have never been a fan of the franchise since that moment he stepped through the door. I sat there as an 11-year-old (my mom took me thinking all kids want to see it), and I was optimistic based on the hype. The white polymer-armored guys who preceded him looked like Iron Man but had mere guns. Ugh. My first thought was “40 years later and we’re wasting modern special effects to recycle Buck Rogers rayguns and spaceships? Where’s the flying and repulsors???” Then Dr Doom in Black stepped in and I was done. I wanted the MCU at the same time we got Superman the Movie.
  18. I like when a sales thread gets right to the point.
  19. Not sure where in the postal chain the particular USPS employee is located, but Nickel City Comic Con in Buffalo, NY (right over the border) is this weekend. Whoever is on that dealer list might be a good place to start. Editing to tag some boardies who might be going to that con?? @BlowUpTheMoon @storypapers @colossus is awesome!

Yes he did! In fact, I’d recommend a raw for the interior ladies as well, for those who may not realize.
