New Overstreet next month, big SA movers?
Readcomix replied to twmjr1's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
Anyone got the link to order this one? I went to their site and to Graham Crackers' site but I cannot find it. I wonder if they even asked Starlin if he would do this cover? At least it's for a good cause; though I might actually like the Flash/GL cover better. -

I would also think #8 (GGA cover) would get a decent price, but I'm not testing the market. Mine is staying put; you don't see it often. I gave away four (from #'s 18-20-something) on here recently; they got claimed fast. If you're a collector of a specific niche, certain in-depth articles might lead you to seek out a particular guide, but I haven't met anyone who assembles a comprehensive set (though I'm sure someone is out there). -
When did Marvel really become Marvel?
Readcomix replied to SECollector's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
It seems they had been toying with the name from way back. These shots of My Own Romance #6 from 1949 show "Marvel Comic" on the cover and inside on a note to readers page. See the lower left, where the letter to readers is signed "Marvel Comic Group." Yet the indicia is Red Circle Magazines. -

I was wondering the same thing -- are there back issues of anything, Bird? Thanks for this view; very cool!
