  1. I love the price sticker The impact of stamps and stickers can be tricky to gauge, but the book looks to be in the 4.0 to 4.5 range to me. And it's very nice.
  2. Nice Are they in a bound volume of some sort? A peculiar mix, if so. Send it to me now
  3. Yes, I didn't need more than ten minutes to detect, once again, the towering absence of a satisfying story. There's no point listing out everything that is wrong. They just don't know what they're doing on any level. As you say Ken, just let it end.
  4. Nearly 40 years old now, those pages I tried to watch Sunday's episode but couldn't get beyond the first ten minutes. Everything that I believe is wrong with this incarnation, and writing, was in glaring evidence. Thank God for the past. And the future
  5. Sigh... That wouldn't buy you one Chewit today. Was there a warehouse find, causing all these high grade copies? I know there was a warehouse find of Doctor Who Weekly #1 a while back. Maybe the same happened here.
  6. Doesn't seem right, does it. I can still remember buying it. Where does the time go....
  7. I know what you mean about the later ones. There's nothing for it then - you're going to have go to go for Canadian and pence copies
  8. That's remarkable, to have stayed in that condition, given how comparatively flimsy they were.
  9. Well done! Not sure if it has been mentioned already, but ASM #262 has copies with a Bose wrap (newsstand only). I had one copy with a MJI, and one without: When you've finished the NDS and MJIs, maybe go for all the other insert types (if you haven't already)? Pizzazz is in ASM #176-179: #179 has a different one to the other three. And some ASM #245 copies have the Maxwell/Bubblicious ad - unusually, it can be found in both newsstand and direct copies: There are inserts in other issues too, but these are mostly generic / in all copies - well, all of whichever type I listed - but there are some different configurations to collect (e.g. #389): And if you really want to tear the arse out of it, you can go for variations like these (click to enlarge): There are so many 'variations' in the Spidey ASM run. They'll keep you going for a while, if you complete the MJI set
  10. Our 'how to' lists are quite similar, there I purchased it at the London Comic Fair, quite cheaply as I recall. The dealer - one of the better ones, more into Gold than moderns - had noted the triple cover on the backing board but hadn't priced it accordingly. It clearly wasn't a thing for him.
