Cracking cover - out of interest, what is CGC's position on sun fade? They don't mark it down? -

On the subject of earliest T&P stamps, I'm always on the lookout for those never seen ever 'make-weight' copies that Duncan McCoffee mentions in his early distribution musings. One is Action #257 so I nearly had a heart attack when I saw this the other day with a 10d price on it: Then I looked a little closer and....

I don't know what I like more about these two currently on the Bay, the stamps or the fades. A nice left to right graduation on the #137: I've not read it, but that's a cunning disguise, that mask. You wouldn't ever know it was him would you. -
Flash! A-ha! He was stamped with a funny stamp! #109 is the earliest known T&P stamped Flash.... ...making that 10d stamp all the more interesting. Definitely not a Miller. Wrong everything, trust me. And, of course, no telling when that stamp was applied. Fun though, innit. On the bay as we spake, the grotty little thing is.

Once in a while I spot something on eBay that I haven't seen before and have a go at getting. I saw this one, not listed particularly well, and found that I couldn't find one reference anywhere online about it. That's quite unusual, to not find a single reference. It's from Jotastar (the same people who made the famous card set ), is dated 1978, and was made in Kong Hong, presumably for a song. Can anyone find another reference to it? Who's the toy expert around here? "Hulk like flashing toy. Flashing toy flashes when it spins. Lights up. But if Hulk should spin the toy aggressively, and the crappy plastic snaps, then Hulk will SMASH!"

THE AMAZING FANTASY #15 CLUB
Get Marwood & I replied to HarveySwick's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
A new pipe and slippers seems eminently achievable on current rates I haven't got the BC scan to hand. Will post it when I finally send it off to the Tomb Mongers. We can all have a guess then. Wish me luck... -

That's just fantastic (drooling noise...)

There hasn't been an actual AF15 posted for a bit. Here's mine again, which hopefully one day will enhance my retirement -
Dez always responds to contact and queries - I've posed a few down the years. You always expect industry figures to have a detailed recollection of the events you study and subsequently put to them, but the reality is that it was just another day in the office for him, and knocking on forty years ago. Most days I can't recall what I did the preceding week....

Well, he had a lotta spunk. -
Prudent Tales. That's got a ring to it.

Canny Tales would've been a boring title, wouldn't it. Canny? I don't know. Ask him.

That's uncanny.

....until now. It's a fun passtime, seeing how Alan covered things up from version to version. Proper tippex merchant

On current CGC labelling policy it would, yes. It's enough to make a Texan Titter

Here, @themagicrobot, I got this freebie from Krept Into the Krypton, Krapped and Krept Out Again Comics, and it's missing the back cover and half the contents: Do you think I should send it back? Then again, at the end of the day, it gets dark, and half an Alan is half a quid, so with a press and clean I could get it up to sixty pee on a good day. Shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth really. Not with that breath, anyway.
