Marvel UK Price Variants
Get Marwood & I replied to Get Marwood & I's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
I've made a new graphic for it too, to celebrate - here's the first half: You'll get the other half later when Pat's been -
Look at that 219... You can't afford to be too fussy about condition when gathering pence copies, but that, if I do say so myself, is an effin cracker

Marvel UK Price Variants
Get Marwood & I replied to Get Marwood & I's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
Evening all I spotted this printing error on eBay last week and, unusually for me, I actually managed to win it: Here it is alongside my previous pence copy: There's a quite significant, selective absence of black ink on Spidey, you'll note: That selective absence carries over to the back cover too: Always a good sign. Amazing (heh heh) the difference black ink makes isn't it. When compared to my old cents copy (also an error copy, funnily enough, but of the internal variety) you can see the remnants of the 12c price on the pence copy where they didn't quite manage to scratch it all off: These things are rarely definitive of course, but the reduction in black ink, and the remnants of the 12c price, are both arguably anecdotal indications that the pence copy was printed second. You never know though do you. I'll see you over the weekend, for the long ago promised top 20 photo (19 has at last become 20. Well, Pat pending...) -

Cheers TK One or two perhaps I think thanks, yes. There might be a few where the price isn't clear. I'll have a look in the files and let you know. -

Consistently Earth shattering -
Got an example of it?

100% agree. The Invision software is head and shoulders above the other sites. I just wish CGC would pay to have someone properly administer it.

Our CGC admins haven't set anything up yet because CGC management are too tight to pay for them to have the time to do it.

MCM Comic Con London 24-26 May 2019
Get Marwood & I replied to Get Marwood & I's topic in Comics General
I did say in the report of the con I went to just before lockdown that I probably wouldn't go again, but then the optimism kicks back in and you find yourself wanting to give it another go. I seem to recall some talk of there being a big improvement on the comic content planned, but this seems to indicate the opposite if anything. It's just a shame to see the opportunities to buy and enjoy comics in physical locations diminishing year by year. -
What are these 1960s mini comics?

It does. A comic con without comics. -
I agree, they would not exist by design. But as the Thor interior Spidey shows, and others like it, mistakes do happen, even during an automated, pre-defined production sequence.

https://www.mcmcomiccon.com/london/en-us/things-to-do.html I see that the 'Comic Village' has been rebadged as 'Artists Alley' Does this mean no comic dealers at all now I wonder? I don't want to spend money going to a Comic Con to find that it has no comics? @MCMComicCon - can you confirm? The LCC at least promises a comic zone.... https://londonfilmandcomiccon.com/comic-zone/ ....so I may get to do another of these...
