  1. Yes. A bad day in the office when that cover got through. Awful on many levels.
  2. You have a woman's comic! I'll wager that comic has never felt the lash of rusty steel in mortal combat!* Charlton's from this period are just fantastic I think Kevin. They tailed off in quality as time went on but shone so brightly in that early pence period. Lovely covers in there. Good luck in the search. I'm envious. *Black Adder reference in case you thought I'd lost it
  3. You're welcome. My memory isn't the best, but there was something brewing towards the end...like there was something about Black that was starting to reveal itself. Something hidden and possibly dark. Which would suit given the name. Come back and let me know if I'm right post binge watch won't you...
  4. It does. I loved that show. And the theme. It all seemed to end just as it was getting good didn't it....
  5. Alrighty! Here's the current confirmed pence list Kevin - if you've got any of the 350 or so missing copies I'd love to see them
  6. Children of the night! Nice looking copy. Looks to be in the 8.0 to 8.5 range to me. And what ever happened to Frank Black?
  7. The Popular Book Centre - exchangeable at half price Seen on many a tatty old comic over here Mike
  8. Read the rest of it here. Still makes me laugh https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/128805-show-us-your-personal-artwork/?do=findComment&comment=9774869
  9. This one? I thought he looked more like Neal Folds the snooker player I had a lot of Blakes Seven stuff as well. Loved Avon. I've still got all my old action men up in the loft. I took a picture a while back: Made my own comic about them too: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/128805-show-us-your-personal-artwork/?do=findComment&comment=9774869 Oh to be a kid again. @Unca Ben - sorry for the hijack! I'll bog off now
  10. Me too. Huge the Who collection was. If only we had a time machine and could go back Harry... Hey, hang on...
  11. These are nice though Not mine, just saw them on the Australian bay...
  12. What on Earth is going on here! Top shelf Spidey? Is Trout Pout, sorry, Gwen casting a spell? "Begone, free thing protecting my modesty!" And, apart from Scarlet's left, what's with all the fists?
  13. It's amazing what you do (did) as a kid isn't it. I had scrap books on quite a few things. Pop groups, films, tv etc. I remember being quite taken with Raiders of The lost Ark when it came out and made a scrapbook for that. Basically, it was a magazine that was already really a scrapbook which I cut to pieces to make a scrapbook. So many cool comics and magazines destroyed back in the day. Who cares though, we were kids
  14. Now...where shall I put the Thorpe & Porter stamp....
