  1. I love a good Barbie, oh, hang on. That's me. Cheers Mark!
  2. Cool. I've only got 5 APV's and they're all Barbies! Post a picture if you can redsox . Always nice to see a Barbie.
  3. Ha! Haven't drawn anything for years alas. Dodgy eyes and all. Does he like any of the old Docs?
  4. Lenny Henry must have the right hump.
  5. Indeed. But maybe having "First appearance" and "Second printing" on the same label might confuse some in a mutually exclusive kind of way. Not me of course though. I'm very intelligent and everything like that
  6. My gut tells me no. Firstly, because I like to disagree with CaprisunAges and secondly because a second printing, well...it came later than the first. It reprints the book that had the first story appearance. So to call it the first appearance just doesn't feel right. "Reprints the first appearance of Cable" might be a better CGC label wording. Then again, some of the most highly prized books in comicdom have 'second printing' Octobery Novembery scenarios that people sort of ignore don't they.... I'll be interested to see where this one goes actually.
  7. That's interesting. I've not seen that before myself, at least not where the suggestion is that it is part of the natural production process. Could the term you were looking for be 'remaindered'? That can be used to signify the use of internals with a new cover wrapped around them. Many might suggest that a previous owner has just put extra staples in for protection but that usually is only done if something is loose which doesn't look the case here. Maybe someone else will chip in when the see the thread. Keep us informed Jeff, if you hear anything. And welcome to regular posting, if that hasn't already been said
  8. Well that's the fun part Jeff John, you have to look for them. Back in my Spidey collecting days there was a site called STL, now sadly gone, that had a section for printing errors. It was very popular. Just as everyone thought every ASM error had been found I flooded the site with another ten or so which I found whilst hunting down pence copies and the like. I remember the site owner, who would sanction new postings, saying I had Spidey error collectors 'tearing their hair out'. Wish it was still online Anyway, who knows what Flash errors are out there. You could be the man to find them JJ...
  9. If Chibbers took over writing duties on The Amazing Spider-Man he'd bring back the Big Wheel.
  10. I just typed out a big old reply and lost it The reply I mean.
  11. UK Price Variants Canadian Price Variants Newsstand vs Direct Printing errors 2nd Printings
  12. I always laugh when I see your shoe sales Buzz. I mean, people buy second hand shoes all the time in charity shops. It's just yours look so worn out and sweaty its like your selling used underpants or something. See, I'm laughing again now thinking about it Going to see Mozz in March - he's kindly playing down the road. I said I'm going to see Mozz in March
  13. Some great posts here guys @AJD @Duffman_Comics - very interesting. I like threads which look at the history of comic production, especially in areas where next to nothing is documented. I find it fascinating that there are still genres where we can't even be sure what titles / issues exist in the first place, let alone any variant details beyond that. Andy, does the censorship of the 'bones' on the cover of Planet #58 continue inside? Or does that aspect not feature in the story. Great stuff.
