  1. Doesn't he just Every time I'm just about to eat me dinner Newton rings. "The three laws of motion" this and the "universal gravitation" that. My God in heaven he's boring. I tell you, next time Newton rings I'm hanging up.
  2. And there it is. That is the real reason for your intervention. Nothing to do with Hepcat, you just don't like to see someone taking the lead on something. In this case, me. The part you miss, is where I invite Scott and Dena to agree with my request. They can take whatever action they see fit, once they have assessed what has been said by all. They may agree with you, Hector.
  3. What does that mean Hector? Why can't you just explain your position? Scott overrides Mods. He (admin) tell mods how to manage the site. He agreed - at the time - that existing journals could move to non-journal areas of the boards. That set the precedent. The journals that have started in the new area were done so because the users chose to do so. They were not compelled by a mystic force. I could start a thread in CG with 'journal like' qualities right now. No one would bat an eyelid.
  4. the mods already decided it - that’s why it was moved to begin with i raised the concern because GMI is asking moderation to make this exception for Hepcat. my concern is we make the exception for him whose to stop the next 30 journals requesting the same thing And I'm saying the mod got it wrong. The fact is that Scott, at the time of the journals migration, agreed that existing old journals could move to other board areas. Which they did. And they are there, active today.
  5. Yes, they asked for them to be moved there at the time of the migration and no one complained. They are much enjoyed threads.
  6. And I've heard that they're a nice person to boot. I'm here all week Jim
  7. I've no idea what you mean by that Jeffro! Say what you want to say mate. Get it off your chest. Anyway, I've just sent Jim a PM and told him I've started a fight in his 'positive thread to make Comics General better'
  8. You're just being cranky Jeffro. It doesn't matter. A thread in CG with a mixture of comic and non-comic content isn't a big deal. If it's enjoyable, and people like it, what's the harm? If it's rubbish, it will soon die off.
  9. In my opinion you're cool Hepcat. I'm not sure why some people are getting so het up over it. It's not for others to say what a journal should look like or not. And if every thread in CG that had some non-comic content got moved half of them would need moving! I've made my position clear and have no more to add, but I do hope you get what you want. Let's see what Scott and / or Dena think.
  10. That's a fairly terse ending to your post there Jeffro. And this is supposed to be a positive thread to make CG better
  11. Well let's see shall we! What is Spider-Man's real name?
  12. No. A three part episode would be three episodes. Certainly on the BBC, which has no adverts. Hence no Bonomo Turkish Taffy Give-Aways. Meanwhile, here's a dinosaur licking a kid's face: He'll be picking him some flowers next.
  13. Exceptions have already been made haven't they? I thought when the old journals got locked some boardies had theirs moved to other areas of the boards as they didn't want to use the new journal format. Hepcat's has comic content, so his can move to CG on that basis if that's what he wants. The vast majority of the new journals are comic related. If the OPs started them in CG, no one would bat an eyelid. They choose to use the journal functionality rather than are forced to.

    UK CGC?

I see what you mean, I just tried it. The 10th September announcement here... ...clearly says that "comic books and magazines can now be shipped to and from the London office (NGC UK)" So when you log on to complete the form you get this - "Mail-in to Headquarters is not available for London": And you say you cannot reach them by phone, and email responses are 'chronic' @Ironwill75 That's poor if so. Are we missing something? @Brittany M. - any idea what is going on over here? Do you cover us too?
  15. It's definitely not I. Hang on, let me ask Marwood. He's muttering something about rolling a sheet of A4 up into a cone and sticking it....... Oh. No. It's not us.
  16. Who were you dealing with? Mod or Admin? PM me if you'd prefer CGCmod2 @Scott =) @dena Guys, would you mind checking this please. Hepcat has returned from hibernation and would like to continue to regale us with his wondrous tales. No disrespect meant to CGCmod2, but I think Hepcat is the kind of chap we should be helping, not hindering. Do you agree? If so, would you drop him a line and maybe see if you could reopen his old Journal for him? I seem to recall that was an option when the old journals were shelved? Also, I see no reason at all why it should not be placed in Comics General, where it will get a much larger audience than in the pit of despair that is the WC. It has comic related content so should sit in CG happily I think. Besides, if you compare it to some of the threads that are allowed in CG, I'm sure you'll agree this would be a sensible move. Thanks
