  1. This is outrageous behaviour. Send them a message back stating that they must ship your winnings immediately. Add the following: "Please note that failure to do so in a timely fashion may result in a big bag of poo coming to your head office in the post". If they complain, tell them it's a standard response that you send to all your auction houses and not to take offence
  2. Morning all I say 'all', I actually mean @nesqrick2 He's the only chap paying attention you see. Anyway, quite a big jump since my last post. I'm up to 891 confirmed AUS copies now across 89 titles: The full title / issue number list is below. Here's a few Barbie's that I picked up. I like these. The sort of title that gets no one interested. X-Men, Spider-Man, Wolverine, blah blah blah. All good of course, but I suspect few if any will celebrate Barbie in an AUS coat. Nice covers though! Aint she pretty. One day, these will be the books that an AUS completsist will struggle to find. Remember, you heard it here third And look, she's anti-code too! What a gal P.S. William Shatner's Tekworld? Yes, oh flippin yes! 3. Love the Goblin here. Looks a proper nutter. Gwen looks lovely with an extra pound or two too.
  4. One! One page of ze single page encapsulationmentation, ah, ha, ha, ha, hah
  5. With no knowledge of what I wrote earlier, out of the blue, the wife just asked me what Opal Fruits used to be called. Repeat, out of the blue. I swear she's a witch. Get your jokes in now.
  6. There's something quite romantic about it. A love affair with the city. Great stuff S-V. Keep it up
  7. I used to Thoth, yes. I had that actual issue as I recall. Starburst is now a packet of sweets of course, which used to be called Opal Fruits. They were 'made to make your mouth water'. Very hard to eat though - each sweet was individually wrapped in paper that often refused to budge. Happy days. Star Wars, Starburst, Opal Fruits. Spider-Man Comics Weekly. I want to go back.
  8. Yes. You can't look back on it. It hasn't happened yet
  9. It was posted here by a chap from Denmark: https://rarecomics.wordpress.com/#comments It's a new find, a book that I'd previously badged as most unlikely to exist. So we're back to 3,018 confirmed pence books now. I'll elaborate when I have time, as it's significant for a number of reasons - font variations, T&P indicia etc
  10. I knew he was an artist of some sort, but Dr, Who didn't precede the word..
  11. You put your junk on ebay?
  12. Indeed. These outages go on for so long he'd have had to have postponed it to November
  13. 57 minute outage suggests not Scott. Send Dena round and smash their faces in - now!
  14. What! The Rotters at Invision didn't tell you? I feel terrible now Scott. Please accept my fullest apologies. Only a petty person would enquire as to why it took 24 hours to tell us, but I'm not a petty person at all so we're fine on that score. As for Invision, well, I think there is only one course of action to take. You should send them a strongly worded letter, making it clear that if this should happen again, Dena will come round and smash their faces in
  15. Say again, I didn't quite catch that. You say you're as mad as hell, and you're not going to take it anymore? Is that right?
  16. Yes, what is going on?? The last time this happened was when the journals merged. It took a long time for the indexing to finish that time and this is looking like another significant event, so until it finishes running, lots of data will be missing making the boards more or less unusable. I feel sorry for anyone trying to run a sales thread right now. I was half way through a big post yesterday when it happened and lost it as there was no notice (hurray! you cry). In the past, the admin team would let us know when this kind of thing was going to happen. They didn't with the journals though, and they didn't this time either. That's a shame, as it causes a lot of unnecessary upheaval / confusion and is just another reason to give this place up really. One announcement from Dena, Scott or, God forbid, Arch (remember him?) and none of these posts would have been necessary. @Scott =) - who forgot the announcement this time?
  17. @dena Any news for us Dena? Looks like some upgrade went through yesterday and we now have lots of data missing while the indexing catches up?
  18. I feel your pain Brian. A common problem for Charlton Pence Millers too. You've seen the 30th Century Comics Alan Class inventory I take it?
  19. My kind of collector. Lots of pence links in my 'about me' profile tab if you're ever at a loose end Brian. And a Miller one too
  20. Nice L Miller 6d stamp on your 9d TGK there Brian Why have I never seen you in my Miller / pence threads? The Mexican copies are lovely
