  1. Well done Mark. A Canadian MJI is not something I thought I would ever see
  2. I agree, but wonder if he would have attended? Seemed happier away from the spotlight to me. We'll never know. Here's two snippets from online sources. Some nice praise from Stan who, himself, came across as a wonderful chap:
  3. there maybe two more alternate covers to find, An Alternate Magneto Cover and a psylocke/Colossus/Gambit/Rogue cover. Edited yesterday at 08:34 PM by nesqrick2 Cheers Nes. The GCD has five covers, A to E: We have A and C: No reason why a B, D and E might not exist too? Here's the front and back of the US version of copy E: Wonder if an AUS priced back cover exists?
  4. I really like these mock ups that you do. Nice to think of him pottering about with his camera, taking snaps to replicate in the comic. It's like I've said before - Ross's art may not be the most stylish, or even accomplished, but there's a truth to it that I love. The world he portrays, and the people in it, are real. They we're real to me back then, and they're real to me now as an adult. The art suited the mood, and the time. I just love it and I wish I could have met him and told him that. It's wrong that people have to die. I don't like it.
  5. Cheers Nes. I have a new title to add to the list and a lot more finds. I'll update the thread soon - going to be offline for a bit
  6. That's cool Nes. I wondered if there would be AUS copies of the alternate covers
  7. You'd think he'd have heard us by now with that bionic hearing wouldn't you.
  8. Well, we're on a comic chat forum so I reckon we're all big kids really
  9. The youngest thinks it looks like the thing that Seth Rogan put up his butt in "The Interview."
  10. FoggyNelson? FoggyNelson?! Are all Marwoods followers lunatics Krang? Looks like it Titano. Bunch of nutters the lot of them. Settle down you two. (Jeesus) Yes Miss, very sorry Miss. Sorry So you should be. Remember, I could always get the stethoscope out... (Fear her...)
  11. That's the worst bout of innuendo I've ever seen in a Dr Who thread.
  12. Yes. I can see the first episode of S12 now: The Whitterer comes up against Missy. There's a tussle or sorts, and some space rays are involved. Anyway, long story short, they swap bodies and Gomez becomes the Doctor. The Whitterer becomes The Master, or Missy if you like, but is immediately killed by a tricky bout of Venusian flu. Regenerates into a cranky old man who immediately kills the 'Fam'. Fat Nan returns from the Netherworld in outrage but too is immediately killed before the police can query what she was doing up the tower that night. Cranky Master then breaks the fourth wall and, in a TV first, kills Chibbers with the death ray thing that used to make people really small. Not much power needed this time though, as he's already small, in artistic stature. Gomez Doctor then proceeds to make good noises with a competent replacement show runner who never worked on Broadchurch in any capacity, just to make sure. Old monsters appear and stuff like that, and a fit bird enters the Tardis to the delight of all men over 40. But Gomez is having none of it, and maintains a monastic distance. With order restored, and helped by an amazing central performance backed by intelligent, witty writing the BBC shunts the show all over the place until the ratings dwindle.
