  1. Splendid! Don't forget to read my book, will you NEG. There's a good chap
  2. New title added - Darkhold: Pages from the Book of Sins:
  3. It's alright New E G, it's not a crime. But only because I don't personally run the Police Force over here. Yet. Christmas Special you mean? They did have a NY one. And it was most unsatisfactory, with only a passing resemblance to the Whoniverse. Did I just say 'Whoniverse'? I do apologise. Last week, I watched Capaldi's 'Return of Doctor Mysterio' on a DVD which, coincidentally, I got for Christmas. That reminded me very much of the programme 'Doctor Who'. Have you heard of it? It had a cracking -script, a warm premise and a cracking Doctor on top form. I'm currently reading Tom Bakers 'Scratchman' novel. It's remarkable how he has captured the spirit of his early tenure on the show. Very entertaining in a nostalgic kind of way, which I often find to be one of the best ways available for one to take. You know, the show really ought to be left in the hands of the professionals. Or at the very least the wide eyed amateurs, with heart.
  4. It is Jay. As thread author, if you select the edit button on the first post you'll see you have the option to amend the title too, and add the missing 'k'
  5. Glad it's the right book - looks like a fun read. Hope you manage to track it down soon
  6. http://eccomics.wikia.com/wiki/Crime_SuspenStories_Vol_1_25 Synopsis for "Dog Food" - A prison convict feeds parts of his own body to the guard dogs in order to get to the sadistic overseer.
  7. We surely have Returning to the original 176-180 run, wouldn't it be nice to own this: Worth four times more than my car, alas
  8. This pence Conan has a dodgy cut. And if you look closely, the top line is blue instead of the purple the rest of the cover is. Cents copy is more consistent.... ...but on this copy you can almost see it starting to run out...
  9. That's cool I don't know if all manufacturing errors get the green label. Ebay listings for CGC error books show an inconsistent approach from what I can see. They should in theory be green, as having a different interior in your comic would surely represent a 'significant defect that needs specific description', wouldn't you say? A bit of dodgy foil application gets one: Give them a ring, see what the say
  10. It's a little known fact that 'I'll send you my bill later, suckers' preceeded 'Excelsior' as Stans trade mark sign off
  11. Three more Caps added to the files today, courtesy of ebay: Brings us to 845 confirmed issues: I haven't found any additional titles for a while - we're stuck on 82 - and research elsewhere on the boards shows several titles from the date range with only one US edition type for certain issues (as opposed to the more regular Direct and Newsstand combination) - all of those titles have no AUS copies so far so it's fairly clear now that many titles were not produced. Of those that were, it's beginning to look like some titles will not have the full possible issue number based on the dates. Cap for example has no issues beyond issue 423 as yet: So I either have yet to find one, or, more likely, there aren't any. Time will tell...
  12. ...just saw that you'd already added it to the list in the first post, sorry
