Good old Maxil. Terrible suit though. In fact, Colin never did get a decent suit on the show did he....

Couldn't you just slap him.

I agree. I prefer 3 personally, but believe the wider community rate 14 as the bigger key. I thought Gobby was pathetic in 14, even as a kid. Rubbish glider too. He didn't come to life until Romita got hold of him.
-
14 for me. I've often considered the Spidey 'keys' as 1, 14, 50, 121, 122, 129, 194..... 1-20 are pretty much all keys given the characters they introduced*. But 14 always featured more prominently in the lists I've seen down the years. *actually, drop 8 from that. Never liked 8.

That's odd, as I recall when I put my first ASM set together many years ago that the $2.49's were more stubborn. That was just ASM though, and I paid little attention to other titles, as an ASM completist would. But look, still no Thor #19 newsstand regular edition. That's the real Lucan in the pack.

Three Cheers for The Gold Reading Room!
Get Marwood & I replied to Get Marwood & I's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Ha! The main reason I asked is I noticed that you kept changing your avatar (it shows in the 'all activity' stream) but always to the same picture. I never noticed the number colouring changing. I like quirks like that, that usually go unseen (I changed my name three times one week and no one noticed) - keep it up! And Bronson Burgoon? That is a fabulous name -

I see dead people...they don't know they're dead... Hope you don't mind me asking GG, but it's always intrigued me - who's the chap in your avatar and what's the significance of the number 107? -
Are they still pushing out that line after everything that's been said? Their customers don't seem to agree with them... And thanks to the boards embedding software for selecting that particular thread image!
-
No new ones though I see FD. Maybe the new bidder was inspired by this thread. Or they could be an ASM completist. There's a few of those about. Either way the prices do indicate they were aware of the variance. What I should have done was keep quiet about it and try to build a full set for myself I suppose. That's what you get for sharing in life....

Evening all It's that cretin again (thanks Bird). We're up to 203 confirmed pence Dells now, not that anyone gives a monkeys. If a pence copy exists for each of the cents copies in the projected date range there should be 424 books out there. So we're creeping up to the half way point. Or are we? When you look at the capture sheet, the old 'patterns' begin to pop out as I've said various times across my pence threads. Here's an example of one such pattern: It tells a bit of a story doesn't it, but we'll see. Time will tell, as the old boy said before degenerating into a babbling, seemingly unconnected irritant. Anyway, here are six new low grade 9d arrivals, just to prove I'm not making it all up, and all manually resized due to the boards annoying inability to post multiple same size pictures in the same size. If you're a 'high grade only' type of person, look away now, but you'll miss out on some fun covers if you do. Be seeing you Patrick... Nice use of the horn there. Clever Mungry.

He did didn't he. Apart from looking 'odd' - I always thought his face had a slightly unfinished look to it (and I mean that in a nice way, if that's possible to be a nice thing to say) - he made you believe he was a centuries old being, revelling in the thrill of a young powerful body. It all felt right. Matt is a great physical actor. I'll have to think about my favourite episode of his as I don't always remember the titles anymore. Gone are the days when I could recite each seasons episodes in order - comes of being old I guess. Young spirit in an old body! I'm not going to slag of the current season anymore as it's not what I want to do. We need to be positive in life I think. Oh sod it. It's positively rubbish.

Yeah. Be nice if it had a pence copy. Cents copies are scarce enough though... -

PGM-Tales of Suspense #52
Get Marwood & I replied to billbrown7080's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Hello Bill The rules are in here, first post: I found your photos quite dark and difficult to grade if I'm honest, but was nearer to your 6.5 than 8's and up. With the next ones, try to brighten them up if you can, and show all four corners clearly. Nice book by the way. -
