  1. You disagree with the objective nature of comic books vs video games..? It's not a matter of opinion. If you want to discuss the nature of comics vs video game packages, then that's a completely different topic. An action figure/toy is infinitely closer to a comic book than an artifact that contains code required by a machine to convey visual representation of said code is. You making friends again TwoPiece?
  2. Yes, I posted it just to get a picture in the thread really Bronty. Things come alive with pictures. Picture quality aside, it looks great. I'd be happy if all my 6.0 comics looked like that!
  3. Blimey. Makes you think. Do we know if the numbers and words on the men's backs have any significance Sqeggs? I don't, having not read the story. They seem to be a list of his treasures: Platinum, rubies .... I wouldn't mind betting there's some hidden significance. There's probably loads of books out there with covers like this that the artist / author hid things in - personal thoughts and feelings which are now lost in time.

  5. I never read the Flash as a kid but I agree, when I checked it out much later as an Andru fan I felt the same. The Spidey era just worked. Let's face it, there are more accomplished artists out there, and Ross could turn in a dodgy panel or two, but the overall body for me just screams 'proper Spidey' like no other era. For me anyway. The mood and look are definitive for me. Probably a childhood longing thing, but who cares.
  6. Sorry, I wasn't clear, I meant the right edge of the cover, near the top, not the top itself (my eyes aren't that bad! ). Thought I could see the interior pages peeking out and thought realignment might push them out further. If you're not planning to sell, definitely leave it. But if the concensus is that realignment would bump the grade, then do it just before you sell
  7. @SECollector I'd leave it alone. My eyes are dodgy, but can I see the interior page showing top right? If so, would realignment force that out further, potentially giving the impression the cover had been trimmed? It's a lovely blue label AF15. Why risk messing with it?
  8. I was trying to make my mind up on the spine roll and realised I was looking at the one in your signature line Alex! It's bloody massive
  9. A lowly 6.0 here. I wonder how long it will be before someone grades old grading cases. This vintage 9.4 comic case is in 9.4 condition. Put that in your auciton! What's an auciton?
  10. Listen, I find that a bat to the kneecaps is a great motivator. Don't make me motivate you... OK, it's yours. Never liked it anyway.
  11. My lord, this is so cool. Get in line TwoPiece. The next ones moine!
  12. Indeed. I could never work it out as a kid when I got my first copy. Thought there must be two Ross Andru's....
  13. We need the Jodie Doctor to put things right Ken. After all, "She see's summat needs fixin, she doos what she cahn"
  14. Indeed, you're right about The Thing. If I told you that three of my favourite films are Get Carter, Carrie and The Wicker Man though, you'd appreciate my view more fully I expect. Another favourite is The Thomas Crown Affair. Now I didn't actually mind the Brosnan effort but it was virtually a completely different film. And it had a happy ending. Thomas Crown should never have a happy ending. The film that is, not the man. Don't go near the double meaning's in that one Ken
