  1. 3,018 pence variants and only 5 are annuals. All 1965. Do you know why? No. I don't either.
  2. Nice book! Looks to be in the 1.5 range to me, from what I can see in the pictures. I assume it's complete? Shame about the missing cover piece. Many buyers lately just seem to want a decent looking cover in a slab, so this may detract from it's desirability somewhat. But a nice, key, expensive book either way. You'll be the envy of many of the watching millions this morning Inhumanx!
  3. Fleshcreep! Lets' be fair, Colin is by all accounts a lovely man and he did his best in an era when the 'mythology' of the character was nothing like what it is today. That's why I don't compare the two eras, as they are completely different and of their 'time'. Doctor Who has been a great source of pleasure for me all my life and I don't like to be critical of it - I want it to be brilliant. Tennant, Smith and Capaldi all had terrible episodes. But you could forgive them, knowing the next would likely be great and - anyway - they were such engaging personalities to watch, even in dross. I cant say the same for the latest incarnation, alas, and that is a real shame for me. Just the wrong production team and lead unfortunately.
  4. I just listened to your link. The music sounded like a monkey jumping up and down on a bontempi. Quite liked it. Who needs two e's anyway
  5. Leela was in the Robots. Mary was a stunner. Died far too young.
  6. I'd like to watch a lot of them again, as going by memory everything merges after a while. Joking aside, I don't have the time. Tom Baker was a fantastic presence of a man. That voice - a true one off. The Doctor has to command the screen, not just be another face in the crowd. Or one of a 'very flat team structure'.
  7. He did. With flair. And overshadowed the lead in every scene. http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/doctor-who/news/a830224/alan-cumming-doctor-who-rejection-russell-t-davies/
  8. I think was like an average Capaldi season episode. Making it this season's stand out. Had a few good things. Some better acting and some reasonable banter. But none of it around that flaming lead! The Doctor seems so under written. And she doesn't have her own 'thing'. The youthful exuberance thing (apple bobbing! I love apple bobbing!) Was Smiths shtick. He did it with warmth. Adult in child's body. I know I sound like a broken record, but I just can't stand her. Every line is delivered the same. No menace, nuance, humour. Terrible incarnation. Back to Colin. I thought he looked good here: But the suit in colour was a bit much. And then he got a big fat annoying round head. And went on trail. The end of every episode, a zoom in on his big round head. That got on my nelly. Capaldi must be thanking the God's of Ragnarok that he was spared Chibnall dialogue. Sorry, that was back to Whittaker again.
  9. Never be ashamed to out your three ways Ryan
  10. Oh well, that'll teach me. She just had a good line. Best episode by far, due in part to vastly superior writing.
  11. Over half way through episode 8. Or is it 9. The Withcraft one. Lots to commend so far. But one big elephant in the room still. Pretty much everyone outshines the lead. Who still (heh heh) has yet to say anything remotely in keeping with her history. 'Incessant jabber' says the King. You're not wrong mate, you're not wrong.
  12. He's posted on Ditch's site in the last 24 hours. Looks like his dog hasn't been well so he's likely had a lot to deal with. Loves that dog, you see. 💓
  13. He doesn't do external email (very well) and never got the hang of notifications. So he's not ignoring anyone, just hasn't seen it. Me, him and @Foley have a three way PM going which has been running for years and has over 3,500 posts in it. You can say what you like in PMs and it's content easily surpasses anything we've posted online I think. It's one of the reasons I stay here, shooting the with my two like minded i diot buddies @porcupine48 Jim - get off your lazy arse and log in you slackenforken He's not going to get that is he. Flippin notifications.....
