  1. Price font, Miller indicia. The list is finite! Can we have a Herb Trimpe next? I won't go for the treble. Give someone else a go.
  2. I've got the convention sketch version of that. I got it signed by Michael Barrymore Maurice. "Awight?" One for the Englanders....
  3. If the puddling is on the inner mylar, could they have misunderstood the reason for the return and just replaced the outer holder?
  4. I've got the convention sketch version of that.
  5. Great title. Only two pence copies though - 13 and 15. Can we have a western theme next Ditch?
  6. Supernatural thrillers - Return of the living mummy #7
  7. That's not acceptable. The dents in the inner mylar could put dents into your book. The rings on the front are excessive. So my advice is to take advantage of the now confirmed official advice here: This poll now has an amazing 160 votes and the feelings of the participants are clear. The official response here is encouraging, and Brittany is clearly someone we can work with. I suggest we all contact the CGC Customer Service Team using the contact details provided when we get books with problems. It's a hassle, and a drag to return books, but the problem won't go away if we normalise it by accepting visually flawed slabs. We've made progress today.
  8. Yep, I used to do the UPC thing. Miss it in a way, but it's gone beyond silly now.
  9. Thanks Scott. If it turns out to be a shill, maybe add 'CGC' to a list of member names that users can't select, if that's possible!
  10. @Scott =) Hi Scott - could you confirm whether @CGC Comics is legitimate please or a wind up? I agree with Sharon that were it a genuine representative it would have a staff coded colour. Thanks
  11. We all get there in the end Elmer. It's a shame Marvel can't see what they're doing - the variant hunt is now the preserve of only the very rich. I still have tinges of regret when I look back on my Spidey completist days, and it seems alien to me that I'm no longer up on what's out there, but bailing out at 701 was the right decision.
  12. Yeah, I know. I created this thread because I think the journals migration has had a negative affect and discourages participation. The hope is always that common sense will prevail, and unpopular decisions will be reassessed and perhaps reversed if sufficient feedback warrants it. But this morning, I feel very tired of fighting these battles. So I'm ducking out now from this kind of thing in the future. I've seen other board members change their posting approach to good effect and I think I'll try and do the same from now on. So be prepared to be bored only by pence ramblings from now on
  13. I was promised an announcement earlier this week which is why I held off posting. So this is either that announcement, and is genuine, or a shill delivered coincidence. It seems genuine to me. Easy to prove - it just needs one of the known CGC /admin staff to confirm it. Subject to it being confirmed, I'm glad they responded, regardless of the merits of the response, and I thank the member of staff who championed making the announcement behind the scenes. There are good people in the company who want to do the right thing. Good on them.
  14. The needs of the few, or the one, outweigh the needs of the many Harry. Crack on, and see you next year
  15. Don't be silly Artboy. Anyone would think you paid for the service! Oh, hang on.
