  1. They may be silly to you, but they're not to over 85% of the 153 people who havd voted so far in our Newton Ring poll here on the boards.
  2. Cheers. He must have loved his comics. Splendid notes he made - I have another somewhere I think. Research ongoing...
  3. Then you're not trying hard enough to hate them Newshane
  4. Because then they wouldn't be 'new' Chrisco. We have to have 'new' journals, 'new' boards etc. And, in keeping with the long held traditions of humanity in general, anything badged as 'new' - with it's associated inference of 'improved' - has to suck. That is why reasonable people coined the phrase 'if it aint broke, don't fix it'. The 'new' journals were an optional functionality deliverable. They indeed have some bells and whistles that the old journals don't have. But the fundamentals - ease of reading, ease of access etc have been abandoned on the alter of hip and happening whizz bang pretty things. If we were allowed to swear on the boards I would put forward the following four words to express my exasperation. I'll leave it to you to decipher them: **** **** **** ****
  5. CGC have different size cases as you know. They refer to them by letters of the alphabet - case A, B, C, etc. The new QC recruit, Barry Jones, asked his team leader which case he should use to encapsulate Railroad Engineer #1. "Case E, Jones" I'll get my coat.
  6. Oh yeah! The US versions are July and August respectively. That's odd. Sure #1 will show one day
  7. +1 It's bad enough that they take their shoes and socks off, but the nail clipping? That's a transgression too far
  8. Some of the better ones have moved thankfully. Maybe once the penny drops how universally unpopular the decision was someone might create a new journal forum and allow the old ones to be migrated to it en masse and reopened.
