  1. Great participation so far! Be great if we could get to a hundred plus votes. Maybe someone would then take note and make a statement...
  2. Difficult to argue against either choice there Oak.
  3. Isn't it just. You could easily miss the corpse on the table bottom left, there's so much going on.
  4. That TGK 64 for £350 has been up for over a year. It's a fairly common issue, so the price is ridiculous even if it is 'NM'. At least the #63 is a scarce book which hardly ever comes up as a pence or cents copy. Either way, the prices are increasing so my days of picking up cheap copies for research are under threat. Given that we're talking westerns, the phrase 'dagnabit' seems appropriate...
  5. Well done Oak! Love the devastation scene on the 143
  6. I love the way the boards show a random picture from the inserted thread It obviously wasn't a masterpiece of story telling by adult standards but it just represents the best of my childhood memories. Great art, great covers, a great story (to an 11 year old anyway) and the last great Andru run before he slipped away. I remember seeing them all hanging up for sale in my local comic shop, not long after I had 'discovered' the US originals and I just thought they looked fantastic Remember, I had 8,000 Spidey comics. I sold everything but my AF15, ASM 1-17, a few CGC keys and my 30/35 cents run. And these 5. That tells you something.
  7. My friend Blaine got very angry when he got stuck in a freezer once. I told him "chill, Blaine."
  8. Ah, Le Chacal! Tres good at shooting. Sorry, meant to say he's rubbish at it (I can't say merde). He missed after all.
  9. I'll be searching online all night now...

  11. I agree 100% Everyone has their favourite, often influenced by what they grew up with, but his take was definitive for me. I was lucky enough to get three original pages at a time when it was still possible to do so: Holding them in your hand, knowing they were created by the man himself, is quite a thing.
  12. Ha! A lot of us started out on foreign reprints before discovering the 'real thing'. I hold a lot of affection for them.
  13. Cheers. Andru's is the definitive Spidey / cast for me Try and get this book if you can NAC - great read:
  14. No, it's the UK reprint title They did 'longways' printing for a while, which was a fun way to read. Two pages per page, side by side: Here's the real deal though (sorry for the bad photo)! ...and the bad centering. No CVA stickers here....
