  1. I know you didn't ask me, but the theme was fantastic and and I liked the one where the girl dressed up as a Queen and killed her suitors. And the one where the parents staged weird things in their house and the kids killed them at the end.
  2. You're not alone. I'm not on anything but this board! And most days I don't know why I'm on here! Social media wasn't made for the antisocial, and as I often say, I like to be where others are not
  3. Coolio Iglesias! Post us something you've done TVH
  4. Oh! I was looking forward to investigating a few more spreads!
  5. Great thread, very entertaining and informative on a number of levels. In my green days, I used to think that 1:100 meant for every 1 variant there were 100 regulars, because I never gave it too much thought. It's an easy but false assumption to make, if you don't bother to think beyond superficial logic. Obviously, it doesn't mean that. If a shop orders 150 regular copies, they'll get only one 1:100 incentive variant. Etc. One other variable that I would throw in, is the tendency for things not to go to plan. My shop ordered 50 ASM 667 regulars. Along with them came the 1:100 variant which I purchased with the regular copies for £9.99. I later sold it for £500 and thought it was Christmas. Now, I see that that I could've bought a new car if I'd kept it. Am I bitter? Not really. Life's too short. But I do wonder how my scenario happened, as my shop in theory shouldn't have got it. I tried to ask this in the other thread, and got mauled by lions.
  6. Just. In. Hammer. Would you believe me if I said the word play had only just dawned on me? Cool cover, by the way:
  7. It's a relief to get it down to just one warehouse isn't it
  8. Thanks! It has some surface wear that the scan doesn't really show, and some spine tics. So nearer a 7.0 I think. I had a NM long ago and sold it for a handsome price. Quite a rare book at the time, although I see that mycomicshop currently has two copies up for silly money.
  9. I'm starting to think that the title 'Cushing Fan' doesn't do you justice Christopher!
  10. Guys, Select 'Account Settings' from 'Settings': To the right of 'Account Info' click on the little pen symbol: That will take you to here, where you can amend and save your new name: I've done it once or twice. I think you have to log out once done, then log back in for it to take effect. Try it, and let us know. Don't choose 'Deleted' as your new name though, that way disaster lies....
  11. Looky look guys, at what I got today at the London Comic Fair - a rare High grade (sorry Harry @Harry Lime) Double Double! I think the 3p sale price stamp actually enhances it somehow This one has 3 DC's and a Marvel: JLA #47 JLA #46 (they could've put them, in order!) WW #167 Tales of Suspense #94 Such a cool thing isn't it. I don't really collect them, but couldn't resist it at only ten quid. The only one on eBay currently is priced at £75 BIN and in worse condition (with different interior issues - so cool). I'm definitely getting soft in my old age....
  12. I feel your pain Dan. Of all the variants I've investigated down the years these are easily the hardest to track. It's doubly hard for me, being in the UK, so I'm glad people like you have joined in the hunt. Shame we can't entice RMA to dive in (re your post in another thread). I think he probably has more to add on top of what we've discovered so far. When he posts comic history stuff, you really get the sense he knows what he's talking about so I'd love to get his take on this. I agree, 2.29's seem harder to find. I wonder how long it will be before something is discovered that breaks the template I put together and the observations / assumptions that went with it. Keep looking Dan!
  13. I'd value them too Rock You can Rock, you can! Just be nice and share / debate information with like minded people
