More and more these days I am enjoying buying raw books

I'm almost done with my short Venus run (#9-19) so if it's under the radar I'm glad I'm almost finished.
That said, I think the series is still a bargain for some of its covers. Maybe it'll just sit where it's at interest wise but I won't be shocked if copies of 17,18, and 19 run up in the future.
19 is still probably one of the better known PCH classic covers.
Funny, after being new to comic collecting and VERY new to GA collecting, I simply stumbled upon some late run Venus books last year and got lucky.
Now do I hang onto them or sell??!

Those are actually really great!

Been looking for a sealed, "two-for-25¢" pack of coverless (and illegal!) affidavit returns copies for many, many years now, and I finally lucked into one:
Wait, why?

All good

Yes I paid for return shipping.
Also funny how everyone is focusing on the return, not the fact that the seller is trying to rip me off.

I mean that's a great question: how can he claim that?
I've read this thread for a long time but have never actually been in this situation.
Can't say I'm enjoying it.

If it was a slab and it said 9.8 I dont understand the problem.
What if I try to sell it and the buyer thinks it doesn't look right? I buy a book, not the grade.

It was a mailer with only cardboard, no packing materials. As I opened the box I could clearly see the front of the slab. Even with the Mylar the spine didn't look right. So I taped it back exactly as it was and started a return.

After hundreds of transactions on ebay...
Seller: nevardaednu
Bought a book from him. Returned the book as there looked to be spine issues (was graded a 9.8; seller accepts returns)
Literally never took it out of the box, mailed it back in the same packaging. Insured.
Now he's claiming I beat up on the book or replaced it with an undercopy because "there's so much damage there's no way it could be the original book" and that I damaged it "out of spite"
Yeah, okay. Lowlife.
Buyer beware.
