  1. MIKE ZECK PUNISHER PAGE I knew the snipers waiting in the weeds. Sat there $3900 for awhile.... LIVE bidding was grueling kept thinking it was going to end sooner.... DRIP DRIP DRIP HAMMER. $36,000 w BP I spoke with the owner who was shopping it briefly before the auction. He was taking offers. I knew what he paid for it. It’s an impressive page and one I wish I could’ve added to the ape cave. Congrats to the new owner. That mini series stands out from the eighties.
  2. Frazetta’s apes getting respect. The 🍇 can appreciate that. 🦍 🦍 + Frazetta = 🏦
  3. Art guy can’t be car guy also buddy. You should only throw your money into one bottomless pit. 💰 🖼 🚘 🕳
  4. Wow no claims! no levels!! no one dressing up in costumes! Just excellent art priced to sell. Check it out. Mitch won’t put a clown suit on 🤡 and wear big flappy shoes. But he finds real quality art for the collectors. NO....stop 🛑 trying to live stream him.. Claim1Mitch will get you nowhere.❌ But Mitch’s friendly and professional website, or a quick phone call will help you add quality art to your empty wall space. grrape + ape 🦧 🦍
  5. Grant be realistic. •Which one do you have the best chance of winning? • sounds like Saturday is “the one” but you’ll kick yourself if you don’t get it and pass on trying for Thursday. I would determine what I’d be happy paying for the Thursday page and go for that—- If I don’t win them Saturday is still open Hey I hope you win something Some of these pieces are deceptively low right now ( or we’re about to get our first push back on pricing?nah!). Good luck.
  6. Yeah JJ11 that MS5 is special but you have to print money to compete at that level today.
  7. Just show up day of. If they don’t let you enter raise your voice and say, “do you know who I am?” 😊
  8. Part of me wishes I could’ve seen the treasure but mostly I’m happy to have arrived after the bodies were removed.
  9. A “deal” was made for a Millie the Model 2x page at $195 down from $295.
  10. + 1 I have a buddy who brings up “the ones that got away” every time we talk. He comes up In therapy now more then Ole Grape + ape’s mother in law
  11. Any chance in the 1st round of claiming a Sal Buscema floating heads page for $595 or less?
  12. Start by buying small purchases. Buy art from artists or artist representatives only. Many times artworks are not signed/autographed. Or could be forged. Some artists sign art simply because a fan put it in front of them. Doesn’t always mean they did significant work or any work at all. Signatures in and of them selves mean virtually nothing as proof of authenticity. COA’s as well virtually useless. Over time you must study and learn the artwork of artists you like. In the meantime buying from artists and their reps is the best way to see examples you might like to purchase safely.
  13. Marvel Spotlight 5 first Johnny Blaze and Shang Chi’s first appearance are just a few of the gems on this CAF page. Excelsior!!!!
  14. That’s absolutely massive cool Bolland Dredd. Well done Malvin.
  15. Jason HA may not have been receptive to contacting the buyers on your behalf. That’s to be expected. Sometimes HA has a function related to art they sell where the active buyer will entertain a best offer on the page. Is that function open in the two pages? Im very sorry to hear about your misfortune but I hope you get at least 1 page back.
  16. Is that true? Uhh.... I’m asking for a friend.......
  17. 🎶 Come on EBay (don’t fear the reaper) Ebay take my hand (don’t fear the reaper) 🎵 I can tell you sh.t is hitting the fan. 😂 😆 😂 You could send lawyers, guns and money, hell you could even send the werewolf of London, but come May 21 you have very few work arounds other then maybe EIN in lieu of giving social security number. •Give them your bank account number •Give them your social security number •Give them your date of birth OR ELSE HIT THE BRICKS PAL You lose your listings You don’t get paid NO CADILLAC NO SET OF STEAK KNIVES R E A C T I O N ?
  18. I wouldn’t t want that for my collection. I wonder did the artist detail in the description the sparse amount of actual “original” art in his listing? If you feel deceived, even if it was unintentional I recommend you return the art for a refund. Be polite. Let him know that you expected a completed “original” art piece. That you would like to return it for a full refund. Protocol normally you pay to repack and ship and insure the art. Your gut tells you this is not for you. So get this weight off your shoulders. Good luck.
  19. This clears up a lot. I hope you appreciate I only meant to help get you where you need to be. When you reach out on a grail, the answer almost always is no. I’ve been there. But things change. You have an opportunity. Get it done. This story was also my first introduction to Kirby Thor via the Marvel Treasury edition at the age of 7. I know how great the story and art is. You will be tested. Here’s what I can tell you if it helps. I saw most of these pages between 1998-2002. Many were in the hands of Mike T. $500 a pop. But prices on top pages are exponentially valued today, perhaps unreasonably so by their possessors. If your seller bought it during that time your first offer might sound really good. But it should be a strong offer. It’s doubtful this guy is unaware of today’s values. I wish you the very best. If you get the page please let us know which one it is 😉
  20. It depends on the motivation. And why was our OP picked out “been offered” the page? My guess is the OP either inquired about the page or maybe put it out there he was looking. So motivation. If the potential seller really made the first move, then I agree starting smaller won’t hurt. If in fact the OP has failed to mention that he in fact was in the market for this page, or a page from this story arc, then the advantage swings to the seller. A weak offer may kill the deal. I must repeat that this story arc is well sought after by knowledgeable collectors. The number of available Kirby pages is irrelevant unless the OP would take any action page featuring Thor from any Kirby issue or just wants a Kirby action page from any comic. So what’s your motivation Justin Case? Is this a grail page? Did you put it out (mark yourself) that you were looking for something like this? Did the seller really contact you first? Either way I hope you get it. It’s made for a fun (mysterious) discussion.
  21. Justin I’m thinking you better make an offer soon. This site is great and you’ve gotten some pretty accurate market values without members seeing the page. Your seller likely is aware of this chat board. If you’re serious make the offer already. You’re going to lose the opportunity. Make a strong offer and be ready if the seller accepts or counters. If you’ve described the page accurately then you’re in the $20-25K range. The splash for 127 offered at $55K. Pages from the 126 arc are highly sought after. This is maybe the best Thor story ever told. That’s why in particular these are hard pages to get now. Seize the page!!!
