Plus the eBay auction is for the Green Mask 9 cover ONLY; the coverless comic, if any, would be from another GA comic as part of the rebuild or recreation .
The way I was reading it I thought he left out a comma. Dragon Tong warriors cover, only 1 graded by cgc
It is pictured with insides that are the right book. It is super sketchy to me though as to the description and this seller has had a ton of books from this same collection and he always puts this disclaimer on there. Does allow returns though so I guess if it was more resto than a customer was comfortable with they could return it.

I guess I just had not been paying enough attention to it. But I certainly agree the covers are what is selling them. For goodness sake on the #8 you have, child bondage, female bondage, women in red dress, hypodermic needle...The only thing not there is Adolf Hitler.
Super Cool book Robot.

This auction is on ebay and I just don't get it, but I do have an incomplete copy of the book but never really valued it much. I don't think anyone would grade this over a 6.0 and it is quite likely restored and even with over 9 hours to go is auctioning at a value 3-4 times that of OPG. I do understand that OPG is a guide and flawed, and I am not saying that the book isn't worth it, but I was just wondering why? Is there something that I am missing about this. Any new information would be great. I have read it and it is pretty neat but also fairly common GA stuff. Just curious and hoping those with more knowledge could help a fella out!

I know this is going to sound like blasphemy, but Frank Miller's more recent stuff is pathetic. Give me the days of his greatness , Sin City, Daredevil. That All Star Batman was garbage.
I thought his Master Race stuff was just so ugly....Hard to find much redeeming about it to me.

Originally, there was only a secret tunnel that ran underground between Wayne Manor and a dusty old barn where the Batmobile was kept. Later, in Batman #12 (August–September 1942), Bill Fingermentioned "secret underground hangars." In 1943, the writers of the first Batman movie serial, titled Batman, gave Batman a complete underground crime lab and introduced it in the second chapter entitled "The Bat's Cave". The entrance was via a secret passage through a grandfather clock and included bats flying around.
Bob Kane, who was on the movie set, mentioned this to Bill Finger who was going to be the initial scripter on the Batman daily newspaper strip. Finger included with his --script a clipping from Popular Mechanics that featured a detailed cross section of underground hangars. Kane used this clipping as a guide, adding a study, crime lab, workshop, hangar and garage. This illustration appeared in the Batman "dailies" on October 29, 1943 in a strip entitled "The Bat Cave!"
In this early version the cave itself was described as Batman's underground study and, like the other rooms, was just a small alcove with a desk and filing cabinets. Like in the movie serial, the Batman's symbol was carved into the rock behind the desk and had a candle in the middle of it. The entrance was via a bookcase which led to a secret elevator.
The Batcave made its comic book debut in Detective Comics #83 in January 1944. Over the decades, the cave has expanded along with its owner's popularity to include a vast trophy room, supercomputer, and forensics lab. There has been little consistency as to the floor plan of the Batcave or its contents. The design has varied from artist to artist and it is not unusual for the same artist to draw the cave layout differently in various issues.
Detective #205 is the “origin” of something that had been a work in progress for some time inside and outside of comics.
Really interesting stuff, thanks. Cool to thin that two iconic parts is comic lore were introduced in movie serials and radio adventures, the Batcave and Kryptonite. Probably more too that I don’t know of.

Coverless complete. Well, except for that good sized corner off lower LH corner page 1.
Long skinny piece off LH edge last page, gets into two panels a bit. Word balloons okay, art slightly affected.
Big brown stain lower RH last page, seeps through several folds before it dissipates First wrap is loose, several
tears, both staples rusty as all git out, with plenty of migration.Face it, this is a hot mess, the only thing going for it is that it's a complete 'tec 64.
First appearance of The Boy Commandos

Oh, did I mention that the centerfold is loose, and rough on the outside edge?

Who is your Favorite Golden Age Character- and Why?

I will give one more vote to Spectre, but also say the original version of the Sandman is a close second. If we were stating favorite GA rogues galley, Batman wins in a landslide. No one else is even close for me
