Agree with everyone else. I think it is probably a 3.5 as the standards seem very stiff when grading bronze to modern books.

7.0 with the staple issue (assuming the centerfold is still held pretty snugly by the other staple). Nice book.

Wow, that is just spectacular.

I am certainly interested in pieces, parts, covers, all sorts of things that others don't want. If there isn't enough interest for a thread please do send me a PM

I will take the PEP 74 for $5!

Here is my married success story. I posted this in another thread but I am really excited about it.....so posting again. Got the in a HA in December. I had a copy that could provide the missing two centerfolds so now it is complete. I do still have most of the pages from the Spectre story in an extra copy now.

I would nominate Mark Schultz from Xenozoic Tales. He doesn't do much anymore but for me hit that middle ground of realistic and pretty

Recent HA win. It was a .5 missing two centerfolds which I have. The innermost is super fragile so I am leaving it by itself for the time being. This may be one to see about being conserved as they can sometimes do a small paper fill and not have it count as resto. Either way I am super excited to have the book in my collection

Superman #242 Giant, Neal Adams, nice color, small stain on the front, creasing on the back cover. There is an extra staple inside on the spine, I THINK it's an original staple just some kind of manufacturing glitch, but I'm not sure. Otherwise the book is VG or better (4.0) Bin is $4.00
I’ll take it at 20% off

Thanks I am leaning hat way too

Ok. Admittedly I should have decided this first but that ship has sailed. Itcame back a 4.0 which I thought was nice. Hovever the twisting spine roll is a big defect. If I crack it out and have it pressed by cgc sister company, any guesses about grade after? If it comes back even a 4.5 I would think it was worth the investment. But I don’t have much experience getting books pressed. Think they could get this one straightened out and if so chances of a bump in grade?

Yea the punch is bad. I am just glad some kid didn't want to put it in a three hole binder.

I have gotten conflicting information from cgc about submitting them. I asked if I could just place a Coverless inside a repo cover and submit it and they replied “no, it has to be connected if you want it slabbed together”, but I know they have slabbed books with detached and split covers. I don’t know if it changes value( having repo cover or not). Slabbing does remove the chance that it is a faked/ reprinted book, other resto , I would think. Interesting topic.

Parts of this book look awesome, parts, not so much. It has a hole punched all the way through, scrape on back cover, staples are clean and still holing the book tightly. When I glance parts look like a 7 or maybe better but the hole? Any gisss onif it would qualify for a Qualified grade? Would a press be able to deal with the non color breaking creases on front cover? Any opinions and help would be great. Thanks
