  1. Premium can mean different things to different people. Some people could consider a Venom: LP #1 CGC 9.8 that's selling for $300 a Premium comic. And others could consider a SA Avengers #1 2.0 that's selling for $4000 a Premium comic. And they wouldn't consider the other a Premium comic at all. This forum is very much a show, don't tell place. Ultimately, if you're looking to sell to a dealer you're probably going to get anywhere between 50 to 70% FMV of an offer on your comic. Put it in an auction and your going to have to pay fees in the 20 to 30% range (Ebay is less). I don't know what comic it is you're looking to price out and sell but there are many good places to start like GoCollect, Covrprice, GPA Analysis, comicspriceguide etc. Best of Luck.
  2. It's 2022. Buy the Grade, not the Book. But if you're a submitter attach your acetate first.
  3. Here are a few pics. If any of the high rollers want to flip through their first print High Grade Tec27s and check the colors for us it would be appreciated (shadows in pics are mine, can't take a good pic to save my life, just ask my wife).😁
  4. I have the loot crate Tec 27 and I would say the quality of this facsimile is much higher. It feels much more substantial and the page quality and colors are outstanding. There was obviously a lot of love put into this, which is what makes me excited for the forthcoming AC1, Supes 1, Tec 38 (and hopefully Bats 1 and on and on). The price code is just a sign of the times and it has to go somewhere but I believe DC minimized it as much as they could. We no longer have the original 10 cents and times have changed in that regard. At least it's not like Marvel who plaster the new price on the book twice.
  5. Here's a pic of the actual book. The one in the post was just from DCs website.
  6. I would love to see a pic of that. I think other publishers like Boom, IDW, Image could make a killing by publishing GA stuff.
  7. They are current size. But that works fine IMHO as Golden Age size varies somewhat between publishers (and within publishers sometimes). I would love for them to do runs of titles More Fun being one of them. A 52-101 facsimile run would be amazing. Also a Superman 1-25. But also if Marvel would do Cap, Sub-Mariner, Torch (high quality Shomburg) as real facsimile editions and not the compromised versions they put out. Look at the difference between these two. The CA has been stripped of all its GA charm and panache. DC27 looks like a GA book.
  8. Exactly. As PAGES from the original books are selling for 4 or 5 figures, most of the big Golden Age books not just from the Big 2 but from the smaller publishers are out of reach for 99% of us. I feel that this would be a great way to start a collection of the great Golden Age from the past and bring new collectors into the hobby. I would love to own a high quality facsimile of Fantastic Comics 3, or AA16, or MF52, MM 3 etc.
  9. I've become a fan of these editions from DC since I picked up the recently released Tec 27. Top Notch. I wonder if any of you GA Wunderkinds know who owns the rights to many of the GA titles that aren't from the Big 2. So Fox Features, Fiction House etc. It would be amazing to get high quality facsimiles like DC and Marvel are putting out. Cheers.
  10. @CGC Mike Could we have the Thread title amended just to Read : Silver Age Superman. No ? mark. Thank you.
  11. This feels really unlike Heritage though. They pump things to the Moon (Promise collection anyone?). I'm mean it's only the personal collection of Spider-Man comics by the co-creator of Spider-Man.
  12. I picked up my old collection from when I was a kid from my parents as I'm helping them clear out their 60+ years of stuff. It's mostly complete runs of books I collected from the late 80s thru 2006. I haven't looked at some of these books in 25+ years. I know some of the books have become keys in my New Mutants 1-100 run (87, 98) and my ASM run of 256- 400 (300, 360) and many other series. So I will be fresh bagging and boarding + new short boxes with the comic art. So asking those who have done it do you separate your keys out and store them in a key box or keep them with their runs?
  13. So the Heritage Auction sold ASM 5-38. https://comics.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?N=52+790+231+4294944215&Nty=1&Ntk=SI_Titles&Ntt="Steve+Ditko+Collection"+Spider-Man Why not the AF15 and ASM 1-4 as well at the same time? Also Ditko sent duplicates of the comics? As well as the Heritage ones look to be in worse shape than these ones. Heritage is a much bigger auction house than the one they are going with for this auction. This doesn't really add up.
  14. Here are the 2 being shown on Facebook to compare with HA. Would he have multiple copies of the same book on hand? Maybe. But who put these in the HA auction? The nephew?
  15. They are definitely not file copies. Lots of chipping on the AF15.
  16. It seems kinda fishy to me. I've read that Mr.Ditko wasn't in the greatest of financial position towards the end of his life. I am not really sure why he wouldn't have sold off his collection in the early 2000s. Even back then a Ditko owned AF15 would have probably have netted him around $300000.
  17. Penciller is Dan Jurgens. Inked by Brett Breeding Joe Rubenstein, and Kevin Nowlan. I think these 3 pieces show the contrast well.
  18. Most dealers in my area Buy at 75% of Overstreet and Sell at 125% GPA.
