  1. The Spawn 1 I bought is at minimum a 9.2. So if yours is the same it's $70 according to the OSP. Not a bad return on a buck 95.
  2. When I first started collecting as a kid (around 6 years old) I wasn't looking to speculate, get investment grade books that had movie potential, or thumb through the rack looking for that flawless sharp edged copy to immediately get entombed for its "protection". I collected what I was interested in. But as the years fly by, all of a sudden those books that I bought become keys to this character appearance or first whatever and elevate in price. What are some of your best or favorite books you still have in your collection that you bought for the love of comics? Here's one of mine... Who knew?
  3. I took that to mean : Common 2.0-4.0 Uncommon 5.0-7.0 Rare 8.0-9.4 Epic 9.6-10 My best guess.
  4. https://medium.com/@DCNFTS/dc-collectible-comics-launch-october-27-with-superman-1-3d6e2f0e37e4 https://nft.dcuniverse.com/ I guess the big boys are getting in on it. Along with adding variants. Thoughts?
  5. I don't see this as a surprise. The hobby has seceded control over many aspects (grading, pedigree designation, signature authentication, etc.) to these companies. Redefining comic book ages is just next on the list.
  6. I'm a pretty big Superman collector so here are some of my final issues. I consider 904 the official last issue of AC as it breaks the run started in 1938. And the other two are from a couple of series I enjoy.
  7. Pretty Cool. https://bleedingcool.com/comics/dc-to-surprise-publish-marvel-family-first-appearance-of-black-adam/
  8. It seems like CGC is writing their outs for how grades can be perceived by the buyers. This isn't high-school, I don't want books graded on a curve. I know grading can be subjective, but based upon my history as a buyer and seller and dealing with reputable dealers there is a consistency and a black and whiteness in their grading that comes from experience. It does seem it much more vague than Overstreet. I'm interested to see the opinions of a comparison between both guides.
  9. So what I'm getting is that you soften your standards and grade by the age of the book. As I get older, I wish this was true for real life. Maybe I should submit myself.
  10. Picked up my Superman #1. Pretty gorgeous interiors.
  11. I think this will open up a can of worms for them. Better to keep your grading standards secret and maintain your unaccountability to customers.
  12. Life is like a CGC Submission, you'll never know what your gonna get back. So fingers crossed and say my prayers for an Action 1 swap.
  13. For the new Black Adam movie, Ladies of the JSA
  14. Or you can join in, as that's how these things start.
  15. Especially if it's themed... 70s Cinema 80s Toys Vertigo Triple Threat Let's see your favorite comics menage et trois (but definitely keep it SFW)
  16. Joes will be around for a good while. Eventually there will be another cartoon series. And if they ever make a good movie... who knows.
  17. I got mine. Beautiful book. That Zatara is going to be a Superstar. Should have put him on the cover.
  18. How's everyone's coloring skills? Stay between the lines.
  19. Picked up another one. Always wanted this one for its historical value. But it ain't no 9.8
