  1. Moon Knight #39 Cover...published verison versus the 'I don't know what?' version... ...the auction description does not make any mention of the compositional discrepancies... Would any of you here describe the version being offered as the 'Cover' to the issue? Does that verbage loosely imply that the art is the 'published' version?
  2. Skull cover....with an adaptation of Poe's, "The Tell-Tale Heart"...
  3. This hypothesis has been stated by many, many others in the past, and, with some exceptions[as is 'generally' the case], the 'market' has already supported the phenomena...and the increase has not been soley restricted to those classified as 'A-1'... Have you considered the 'value' of acquiring 'Conserved' examples? For example, a 'Key' Silver-Age book in mid to high grade with merely a cleaned cover & cover reinforcement...
  4. The CLink 'Original Art Highlights' (OAH) magazine is interesting to thumb through... The exact degree of the Cap/Zeck cover toning is certainly 'questionable'...on the OAH magazine cover, it appears to be 'moderately' toned. The cover then appears to be 'bright white' in appearance within the magazine. Finally, on the website, the cover appears to be 'extensively' toned. Has anyone here seen the cover in person? And, can you comment on the degree of toning or discoloration of the art board?
  5. The other room, for the Original Comic Book Art Dealer Alternates...sheesh...
  6. Any chance one of you here have the latest Overstreet Price Guide??... What does an ASM #2 in 9.0 guide at these days??... Thank you in advance!
  7. This eBay buyer, us-sal-011, apparently operates multiple eBay accounts... Us-sal-008 is another one of "their" member i.d.'s which you may want to consider blocking...
  8. I would add that playing/paying with (some or all) 'house money'/consignment proceeds may have been a factor...

  10. This page had an interesting path to market... Approximately 2014/2015, the 'third' owner of this page, shopped it around & had posted it on eBay. It ended up selling "off" of eBay for ~$2k to Paul Handler(?). I was a day late & a dollar short on the solicitation from the seller. Paul later posted it for sale on eBay/CAF. There were no takers. After sometime, CLink recieved the consignment, & the rest is History... The first owner, 'Wayne', purchased the page, along with so many others in his collection, directly from their creators. Hence the dedication from Dave Cockrum. The story goes that Wayne had a comic book shop [somewhere on the south-eastern seaboard?] & would bring artists in for signings.
  11. If 'we' are still in the part of the story where 'realized' prices are rising higher & faster beyond our 'flawed' valuations, then you would do well to HOLD your 'comparable' pages. Full disclosure, I 'aggressively' bid on all three of these pages. [As a side note, both seller's shipping costs were reasonable] I would not be surprised to see one or more offered at a different auction venue within the next year.
  12. $25 bounty paid for proof of publication...any details regarding artist(s) identity, & 'best guess', are greatly appreciated... ...current theory is that the piece may be from a U.K. publication...
  13. Geof has since replied that he is still considering which auction venue to utilize inorder to sell this story... ...perhaps the response he received through messenger was less than 'good'(?)...
  14. The 3 auction catalogs just arrived...
  15. Nor, do I...I didn't actually phone the Scooby Doo Detective Agency... Back on topic...based on what I was shown & told about the quality & quantity of merch. in the room, I am seriously considering attending Torpedo Con next year. [I almost followed through with visiting the NYC Comic Art Con this past April, but, decided to cancel approaching the last minute...for apparent reasons, I am thankful that I did.]
  16. I guesstimate that asking Moy, Mignola, or even Synder directly might solve this caper...no offense given @AnkurJ
  17. @ESeffinga gets the $10 marker, for my brash gamble... ...first come, first served.
  18. ...heard it sold, cash money...bundles, strapped.
  19. The asking price was $8k... ...$10 bucks says that one, & the other three examples which already sold, were bought directly from Mignola before the line of fans could enter the room at the NYC Comic Art Expo in April...
