  1. It was graded in 2018...I need to look up the serial number for the specific date...
  2. I know...late. Extremely late. Yes. It does say Newsstand Edition above the barcode...
  3. This is how the 'one-time popup notification' was presented (mobile version)...
  4. @GreatEscape provided this pic of Moy's booth...just noticed the top banner about high end graded comics...if that is his sign, then, is it a "new" sign, & does it represent a significant deviation from a more typical 'original comic book art only' reseller strategy?
  5. Excellent timing...Did you see any Uncanny X-Men pages in the stacks? Uncanny X-Men #212, perhaps...
  6. Before placing a bid two days ago, I was met with a 'medium sized' notice after logging in...Texas was 'now' on the List. The next move was simple, & instinctual, as I quickly closed the browser window. No further bids were placed for the remaining open lots.
  7. ...from UncannyX-Men #212... ...30% finder's fee will be paid upon successful completion of acquisition... Maybe Dan Green will have this page amongst the '1,000 pages' of original comic book art that he has with him at the NYCC this weekend... 'The Contract' for this page is OPEN... HAPPY HUNTING.
  8. Yes. I do think there is more room for this book. I am still buying examples across many grades...
  9. GPA has the 2013 'High Sale' price of $750 for a Universal label 9.8, Ms. Marvel #1... The 2019 'Low Sale' price for a Universal label 9.8, Ms. Marvel #1 is $1,009...the sale, 'happened' yesterday... Summer is now gone. We are still in uncontrolled free fall of this books resale value...
  10. I apologize in advance...what does one mean when they say, "this book has been the victim of a book doctor"? CLink is turning in some 'seems reasonable' final numbers on many books, including the FF #1 CGC 4.0 that also ended below 'FMV' last night... ...tempted to keep bidding before it ended at $9,643. I do not mind the significant damage [nor the rusty staple] in the far upper left quadrant...especially at sub-$10k!
  11. So many others before have attempted to mandate Ten Commandment-like rules for us (sellers & buyers) to abide by, however, the MARKET, who may not be knowledgeable of such declarations, is the ultimate determing factor... In reality, there are many, many active variables influx which one should consider to price a restored Silver Age Key #1 book for sale... Most importantly, it's my recommendation that nearly none of the restored Marvel Silver Age Key #1's should be price comparable. Each one should be valuated separate from any others. In other words, the last sale on GPA for a restored 8.0, Fantastic Four #1, should not be used to valuate a restored 8.0, X-Men #1...nor a comparable example of Daredevil #1. Thereby erasing the usefulness of a broad interpretation, or any rule-of-thumb, for pricing ALL restored Marvel Silver Age Key #1 books... Commenting on just the restored 8.0, Fantastic Four #1, there is an approximate 90% sale price difference between it's unrestored counterpart...according to GPA public sales data. The current sales 'data', & most recent Market behaviour, suggests that many of the 'Major' Marvel Silver Age Key #1's may be 'undervalued'...although unlikely, perhaps restored DD #1's are too... P.S. In a time before the Information Superhighway allowed for the 'correction' in prices of the comic book back issue market, a [now much older] LCS owner explained, "As long as it's graded right, you can price it at whatever you want!"
  12. Sometimes, although some would say 'most of the time', there are THREE 'bidders'(specifically at auction venues other than eBay)...Bidder #1, Bidder #2, & the House(Bidder #3)... Just for clarification...do I think that the House could just slap the CVA sticker on the case & double the final bid? Or, do I think that the 'winning' Bidder could just slap the CVA sticker on the case & double the 'new' asking price? Full disclosure, I know nothing about the CVA sticker process & resulting comparables whenever 'sold' at market. However, my instincts tell me that the CVA sticker is effectively 'worthless', for my process of purchasing graded comics. I would purchase the CGC 'grader's notes', before bidding/buying, if I was more interested in 'understanding' the apparent technical grade of a book. There are two familiar concepts that are often at work here...Buy the Book & not the Grade. And/Or, Sell the Grade & not the Book... In regard to purchasing a CGC graded 9.8 example of Ms. Marvel #1(1977) 'today'...you can count me out, & it having a CVA sticker has zero influence...
  13. Last year, the original art session also ended the night after Labor Day... And, allegedly there was a server crash somewhere that was to blame for certain 'low' final bids on 'just' a certain segment of lots, including a Dave Cockrum Marvel Fanfare cover... ...for those lots 'unfairly' impacted by the outage, bidding was extended (another 24 hrs?)...
  14. Mike, did you get a payment refund or an account credit towards future purchases? Was it a no-hassle return? Where the other party[Josh] immediately & happily took back the item?
