1975 set name is "Comic Book Hero Stickers" 1976 set name is "Marvel Superhero Stickers" Only mentioning so you can expand your search as some "old-timers" may list 1975 set items by their actual name. Love both sets I slowly put mine together in my youth just prior to the internet being something most had heard about.

I don't have many graded books from 2000-current, they number under a dozen. This one finally back from CGC after nearly 10 months is now one of them. As with all my postings thus far it was purchased raw at my LCS (at the time literally around the corner from my residence) and NOT pressed. BTW the movie in my opinion is very entertaining. Of course I was a "Letters to Cleo" / Kay Hanley fan back in the day so perhaps that skews my opinion a bit I always like throwing in a book or 2 with each submission for which grading costs exceeds the value of the book even after encapsulation Really thought I had a chance at 9.9 on this one, I viewed under 10X magnification before submitting and it seemed flawless....

When I sent away for this in 1999 never figured I'd receive a copy that met my strict standards but in a rare occurrence when not picking out a copy myself it did. Back from CGC this week after nearly 10 months. Like all my submissions thus far it is NOT pressed. Still have the original bag, board and certificate.

According to cert lookup they were graded Sept 24 then sat there for nearly 3 more months. Yet another submission I sent in Modern tier early in Oct I had back in hand before the month ended. The sub the Stooges was in was en route to CGC before they announced the price increases.... My first Turtles book from back in the day was in the same submission I received back this week. It remains my personal favorite TMNT cover. Like most stuff I post this was purchased as child raw from my LCS when it was originally on-sale and recently sent in for grading (NO pressing)

I agree especially given it's nothing more than a second story with the same lead character. Put Smith's name with the other credits. Remove "16 page insert" mention and add "1st Eternal Warrior" and "1st Geoff Henry Geomancer" on the right. Of course CGC probably does not care what I think. I wrote to them a few times regarding wrong credits on Black Panther #14 (1979). They say it's "Jerry Bingham cover" which could not be further from the truth. The fact it's Bill Sienkiewicz's 1st published cover. Given Bill's status in comics it's a rather glaring error on CGC's part. Perhaps if enough people wrote them...?

Picked this up raw at a con in the late 90's. Submitted it to CGC in April, it's finally back home this week. Until I submitted it I did not realize the spelling error on the cover was later corrected.

Picked this up as kid from my LCS, finally back from CGC after almost 10 months from day I sent it. Big Stooges fan, as a child in the mid 80's it was on TBS weekdays around 3PM IIRC.

The label is already pretty full. I'm curious as to what most would like to see added to and removed from existing. My copy purchased raw in my youth when originally on-sale, submitted a few years back.

Some of my Perez covers have returned from their 9 month Sarasota sojourn MM4 (Perez after Perez) I purchased in my youth when originally new. AV171 was a $2.00 raw con purchase from JHV in 1998

Not sure that is possible as Perez's most renowned Copper Age cover is actually MM4. The raw copy I purchased in my youth just made it's way back home after 9 months in Sarasota.

#53 in my opinion is a key. Batman appearance, Great dialog and story of which the shocking conclusion sets up the remainder of Moore's historic run on the title. Of course those who look solely at current dollars a book commands likley won't agree, but I'm true fan of Moore's run and collector not a dealer, seller, flipper or speculator. Batman, Chester, Abby and Jim Gordon splash not a bunch you'd ever expect to see together on the same page. Only a writer like Moore or Gaiman (as he did with DC Supers when they appeared in Sandman) could make it all work without seeming absurd.

I consider it a key. Except for few outliers like #37, DC's never remain hot (really lukewarm its DC after all) for very long which is why I consider going rate less important when determining a DC key. #50 fits the bill to me as a Moore Swamp Thing key. Book now sits on eBay at $225 with a make offer. My guess is if up for real auction it likley would only get $160-$175 at most. As the bubble bursts the first thing to drop are Modern non-Marvel books then mid-grade Marvel with high census pop's - outliers of course not withstanding. BTW it is a stretch to say it's 1st Justice League Dark but if it elevates a great DC book from ice cold to cold or a bit higher I'm good with that

To me seems a weak 9.2 but it's consistent with a 9.4 since they partnered with CCS. For those that buy the book not the printing on the label the pics Heritage provide allow bidders to make semi-informed decision. Hate to given them any kudos but theirs pics are good even if they are too bright.

I'm thinking a 9.0 but a weak 9 - almost like an 8.75 if such a grade existed.

It may get a technical 8.5 or 9 if the grader just received some good news. Due to color loss I'm thinking a press might allow it to present a bit nicer overall but won't increase the grade.

Front appears 9.4 , back appears 9.0/9.2. I will say 9.2 as is, if pressed a possible 9.4 but also would not be surprised if became just a 9.2 that presents nicer than it's grade - those color breaking stress lines at times are harshly judged.

Lucas swiped Vader, Force, Deathstar all from the 4th World. I'll give George a tiny pass on not swiping the father-son dynamic, even if he did, as that is something that Kirby "recycled"

Fair enough although I'd mince it down a bit further: Shadowman #1 is the first appearance of Shadowman and 1st full Jack Boniface . X-O #4 is 1st unnamed cameo of Jack Boniface (who later becomes Shadowman) X-O #4 was actually the first Valiant back issue I ever purchased. Got it at small monthly show in July 1992 for $2. Sent it in this past spring in a nearly all non-Marvel, non-DC submission. One of only 4 book's in my purchase records I actually listed as "Mint". CGC felt it was a 9.8. It's one of the strongest 9.8's I've ever seen. When preparing my submission I even looked at the edges under 10x magnification . Really thought I had a plausible 9.9 candidate...

See it happen with Sports Cards as well. Many assume they have Gem Mint 10 cards (usually from the Junk Wax era) when is reality they are usually 6's or 7's at absolute best. What I find totally messed up is when many of these novices find that they have a comic in a "bag" or in a "bag with a board" or a card "in a holder" then believes the book or card must be near perfect condition as a result. Ofttimes they even make a big deal out of the comic being in the bag - as if it means something. I now cringe whenever I see a post to the effect of; I've returned or am new to the hobby and I have an Amazing Spider-Man 361 that is a plastic bag with board, how much is it worth? Should I send it into CGC? Can I retire on the gazillion I will make from it? P.S. Over past few months I've posted a small amount of scans of books I purchased raw when new then had graded (not pressed!) the last few years usually receiving a 9.8. It's not an easy thing to get a 9.8 as some newbies think. Even as child I noticed most comic buyers at my LCS would simply grab the top copy of a book - something I never ever did. I would go through the entire pile and pick out what i thought was in nicest condition. Because I was very careful and courteous my main LCS shop owner tolerated it most but not all of the time. If a book did not adhere to my criteria I would bicycle then later drive to another shop and see if a copy there met my OCD-ish needs. By the time I was in my 20's, after work many times I would have to go to 3 shops the night of release day seeking "mint" copies. It did wear on me as the years progressed. So much so that when I pretty much stopped collecting new books having moved to Original Comic Art it was a major relief getting out of that seemingly endless grind. So when someone figures they have 80's-90's gold having picked up some books when they were younger, I think unless they did similar to what I and other true collectors did they almost certainly have boxes of junk During a bubble some of the keys may command coin in mid-grade but that is fleeting.

Modern (25 books). Submitted under old Modern tier and previous price structure. Delivered 04/22/21 Received 06/14/21 Scheduled For Grading 06/14/21 Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging 09/17/21 Grading/Quality Control 12/09/21 Shipped 12/13/21 While it will be nice to finally get them back after 9 months, it's Highly Aggravating that according to the certlookup's the books were graded on 9/24 although not posted until 12/11. 23 of 25 I felt were "strong" 9.8 and I was correct. 2 were borderline 9.8's , 1 ended up 9.8 the other 9.6 . 22/25 were books I picked up when they were new between 1984-1990.

while I'm a big fan, Groo hovers just above niche. As flippers and speculators exit hobby expect a decent drop in 2022

Agreed those books along with HOM 92 defined the start of bronze age. In my mind there is no 1 and 0 type delineation from Silver to Bronze (nor Bronze to Copper) more of a book by book basis.
