  1. Definitely not the one pictured in CGC's DB! However the one in the DB does not look like 9.8 either , the upper right corner should lower it to 9.4 or very weak 9.6. https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/4318979004/
  2. Ofttimes low tech and analog protections are the most difficult to defeat. Seems to me CGC or any top Tier grading service needs a dept akin to what the US Secret Service does for the US Treasury and that is; prevent, detect, investigate and go after counterfeiters and rouge insiders. If CGC does have one of those departments, then frankly they have failed
  3. So not the #2 all-time NFL touchdown passing leader? Darn, I had very high hopes this went all the way up to Goodell!
  4. 'sup CS. I do seriously and truly sympathize on the individual level how this has impacted your Holiday season and possibly time with your families.
  5. Even if only online from the scammer what about the purchasers of the many books then selling them? Mathematically impossible given it been going on for years that it's confined only to "eBay and IG".
  6. Silver Lining? Many who have been scammed will exit the hobby. Combined with a sinking comic market and this situation prices in general should drop nicely for true collectors. Winter not only is coming for many sellers/dealers, it may also be a Nuclear one. Only those sellers/dealers with luck + true business acumen will survive the lean times ahead...
  7. Kew Gardens is Queens County How about this; Can you at least say that YOUR suspect is in the Brooklyn-Queens area? If it's a yes than that narrows it down to 4.9 Million People or ~1.4% of the USA population
  8. Agreed book at best is 9.4 . At this juncture there are no more coincidences only more potential evidence.
  9. Well, anyone the past several years who has purchased via eBay ANY 3rd Gen CGC slab Newsstand version of; ASM 194,238,252,300 Hulk 181,340, New Mutants 98 for example, should certainly look at their books and be prepared to soil themselves. Given the scope and amount of years this has been going on it seems mathematically impossible that none of those tainted slabs have not made it to other venues.
  10. No worries, very understandable. You can get all that info simply by reading through pages 1-156 of this thread.
  11. I too have been dealing with Will for 20 years and have found him to be a totally straight shooter. Will represents the "best" of Comic Art Dealers! Even if I'm not so sure that is a positive statement
  12. Still not noted in PSA's DB, even though the admission and proof thereof are USA Public Record from the Maestro's conviction since 2015. https://www.psacard.com/cert/0000001 https://www.justice.gov/usao-ndil/pr/former-owner-mastro-auctions-sentenced-20-months-federal-prison-shill-bidding-scam
  13. Photo images taken by CGC should be a preventative mechanism for swapping BUT they have only been adding them to public Certification's DB since this summer and with the near blinding brightness levels of the pics I feel they are essentially useless. Meaning the level of brightness obscures much detail and fine detail.
  14. Given the very fluid and constantly new breaking events detailed in; Those that paid 5k, 10k or more for any ASM 300 version may not have what they think they have Coupled with the depressed Comic Book Market there is no sugar coating that its highly plausible ASM300 will drop below 2019 FMV's, perhaps even below 2017-18 levels. Especially 9.8's Newsstands + Mark Jewelers in 3rd (current) Gen slabs. As of this writing no 2nd gen CGC slabs are known to be affected, however as mentioned the situation is highly fluid with more and more being uncovered every couple of hours. It's possible when all is said and done only 1st gen slabs may be unaffected? Hope though is very much alive that ZERO evidence will be found for non 3rd gen slabs! Given current events any residual Dopamine rush for Comic's like ASM 194,238,252,300 especially in 9.8 is now gone. P.S. At least on ASM300, but not on Hulk 181 due to MVS, those in the "Buy the Book, Not the Label" crowd (like me) likely were not stung.
  15. I do agree with the documentation aspect however from logic perspective faking the paperwork is a simple matter. Without being about verify details against a known Database not sure it really will prove anything. My ASM300 for example is a first gen slab paper submission from 2002 and never was in CGC's on-line database. But yep agree hold on to any paperwork it won't hurt!
  16. Patience my friend! IMHO the 3 issues you mentioned are going to sink below 2019 FMV or possibly below 2017 FMV's. My guess is that will occur sometime between Jan~April 2024 BTW folks I have all 3 of those books, all mine were self submitted, glad I don't sell comics, but sad that if I ever do probably will only be able to get fraction of the value they possessed at start of this month. Glad though all my DC Digests appear safe
  17. They could have performed damage control/containment they did not all in the interest of saving a few $'s. The situation is fluid and may very well sublimate to the point its picked up by mainstream news outlets with sensational headlines as Steven Valdez mentioned a few posts above. When that happens their inaction due to miser level stinginess may cost them dearly.
  18. So folks will send back their 9.8 labels to get 6.5 Green Labels. Given the morals and ethics of most Comic Book Dealers, Sellers, Speculators, Flippers I don't foresee that occurring in anything but the tiniest numbers unless there is full FMV remuneration involved. Ain't gonna happen as Blackstone will not pay out a cent.
